ESIC Hospital Tirunelveli Specialist, SR and MO Recruitment 2026 - 25 Posts

The Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC), under the Ministry of Labour and Employment, has notified Walk-In Interview No. 513-A/12/16(3)/ESICH/TLI for engagement of contractual doctors at ESIC Hospital, Vannarpettai, Tirunelveli. Registration time is 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on 01 June 2026. If reserved vacancies (SC, ST, OBC, EWS) are not filled, they will be filled in the UR category after 44 days.

Who Can Apply?

For Full Time and Part Time Specialist:

• Qualification: MBBS with PG Degree or Diploma in the concerned specialty from a recognised university, plus 3 years experience after PG Degree OR 5 years after Graduate Diploma
• Note: Must be registered with Tamil Nadu Medical Council or MCI/NMC before joining

For Senior Resident (3 Year Contract):

• Qualification: MBBS with PG Degree or Diploma in the concerned specialty from a recognised university

For Senior Resident (1 Year Contract):

• Qualification: MBBS from NMC-recognised college with 2 years experience (1 year in General Medicine, General Surgery, Emergency or Casualty)
• Must have completed Compulsory Rotatory Residential Internship

For Medical Officer (Pay Level 10):

• Qualification: MBBS with 2 years experience (1 year in General Medicine or General Surgery at Pay Level 10)

Age Limit

• Full Time and Part Time Specialist: Not exceeding 67 years on the date of interview (relaxable as per rules)
• Senior Resident (3 year): Not exceeding 45 years with relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/Ex-Servicemen
• Senior Resident (1 year): Not exceeding 30 years (with relaxation for reserved categories; no relaxation for SC/ST/OBC applying for UR vacancies)

Salary

• Full Time Specialist: Consolidated Rs. 1,42,514 per month
• Part Time Specialist: Rs. 60,000 per month (for 16 hours/week, 4 days) + Rs. 15,000 for every additional hour above 16 hours/week (Rs. 800/hour)
• Senior Resident (3 year): Consolidated Rs. 1,42,514 per month
• Senior Resident (1 year): Consolidated Rs. 1,19,082 per month
• Medical Officer (Pay Level 10): As per Pay Level 10 of 7th CPC

Selection Process

Selection is based on a walk-in interview only - no written exam:

1. Walk-In Registration: Report between 9:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. on 01 June 2026
2. Document Verification: Submit original certificates and application bio-data
3. Walk-In Interview: By the selection committee on the same day
4. Medical Fitness: Selection is subject to proving medical fitness
5. Character and Antecedents Verification

If a qualified specialist doctor is not available, doctors with MBBS + 2 years experience (1 year in General Medicine/General Surgery) may be selected at Pay Level 10 for one year only. No TA/DA will be paid for the walk-in or for joining.

2. Carry all original certificates - MBBS, PG, experience, registration, age proof and category certificate
3. Report at ESIC Hospital, Vannarpettai, Tirunelveli - 627 003 between 9:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. on 01 June 2026
4. If currently in Government Service, bring a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from your employer
5. Senior Resident candidates must also bring a DD/Banker's Cheque for Rs. 30,000 (3-year SR) or Rs. 15,000 (1-year SR) in favour of ESIC A/c No 1 payable at Tirunelveli (towards security deposit)
6. OBC candidates must bring community certificate in Annexure A format as per DoPT OM dated 30.05.2014

• Maintain a professional indemnity insurance policy as required by ESIC
• Follow ESIC rules - no private practice during the contract period
• Attend emergency duties as assigned by the Medical Superintendent or his representatives
• Maintain medical records, case sheets and reports as per ESIC standards
