ESIC Mumbai Senior Resident Recruitment 2026 - Walk-in for 16 Posts

ESIC Medical College & Hospital, Andheri East, Mumbai is hiring 16 Senior Residents on contract basis through walk-in interviews held from 9 to 11 March 2026. This is a rolling recruitment under Advertisement No. 08 of 2025, and positions span across 11 medical departments including critical care specialties like ICU, NICU, and PICU.

• Contract duration is 1 year, extendable up to 3 years based on satisfactory performance, or until a regular faculty member joins the department — whichever comes first
• Basic pay starts at Rs. 67,700 per month under Level-11 of the 7th CPC Pay Matrix, plus allowances as per ESIC norms
• NICU has the highest openings with 3 vacancies, followed by General Surgery, ICU, and PICU with 2 each
• No application fee for SC/ST/PWD/Female candidates — others pay Rs. 300 via Demand Draft
• Walk-in interviews are spread across 3 days — check your department's specific date in the table above

The selection process is straightforward — you walk in with your filled application form and documents, go through document verification first, and then appear before the interview panel. Only candidates who clear the document check will proceed to the interview stage. Report to the venue between 9:30 AM and 12:30 PM on your designated date.

1. Download the application form (Annexure-A) from the official ESIC notification and fill it completely before arriving
2. Prepare a Demand Draft of Rs. 300 in favour of "ESI Fund Account No. 1" payable at Mumbai — unless you belong to an exempted category
3. Carry all original certificates along with one set of self-attested photocopies — incomplete documents mean instant disqualification
4. Reach the venue early as document verification starts at 9:30 AM and applications after 12:30 PM will not be entertained

• MBBS Degree Certificate and all mark sheets
• PG Degree/DNB/Diploma Certificate in the concerned specialty
• MCI/NMC or State Medical Council Registration — candidates registered outside Maharashtra must register with Maharashtra Medical Council before joining
• Category Certificate (SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS) in the prescribed Government of India format, if claiming reservation
• Experience Certificates from previous employers, if applicable
• NOC from current employer — mandatory if currently working in any Government/Private Hospital
• Two recent passport-size photographs
• Photo ID proof (Aadhaar, PAN, Passport, etc.)
• Demand Draft of Rs. 300 for UR/OBC candidates

• Provide clinical care to patients in the assigned department at ESIC Medical College & Hospital, Andheri East, Mumbai
• Assist senior faculty in conducting surgeries, procedures, and patient management as per department requirements
• Participate in academic activities including teaching, case presentations, and departmental meetings
• Maintain medical records and documentation as per hospital protocols
• Handle emergency cases and participate in on-call duties as assigned by the department
• Follow all ESIC rules, regulations, and the terms of the Senior Residency Scheme
