DSSSB Recruitment 2026 – 216 Posts (Advertisement No. 02/2026)

Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB) has released Advertisement No. 02/2026 for filling 216 vacancies across 20 different posts in various departments of the Government of NCT of Delhi. This is a great opportunity if you are looking for a permanent government job in Delhi.

Salary (Pay Scale)

Salary is as per the 7th Pay Commission pay matrix. Your pay level depends on the post you apply for.

• Level 1 (Book Binder): Rs. 18,000 – 56,900 per month
• Level 2 (Meter and Relay Tester, Junior Lab Assistant): Rs. 19,900 – 63,200 per month
• Level 3 (Junior Radiographer, Katib, Patwari): Rs. 21,700 – 69,100 per month
• Level 4 (Radiographer): Rs. 25,500 – 81,100 per month
• Level 5 (Optometrist, Chemical Assistant, Asst Microphotographist): Rs. 29,200 – 92,300 per month
• Level 6 (Assistant Grade-I IT, Stenographer Grade-I): Rs. 35,400 – 1,12,400 per month
• Level 7 (Assistant Manager, Reporter): Rs. 44,900 – 1,42,400 per month
• Level 8 (Junior Law Officer): Rs. 47,600 – 1,51,100 per month

Who Can Apply – Qualification

The minimum qualification depends on the post:

• 10th Pass / ITI: Meter and Relay Tester Grade-II, Book Binder, Junior Laboratory Assistant
• 12th Pass / Diploma: Junior Radiographer, Katib (Calligrapher), Patwari, Stenographer Grade-I, Assistant Microphotographist
• Graduate / Bachelor's Degree: Radiographer, Optometrist, Chemical Assistant, Assistant Grade-I (IT), Assistant Manager posts, Reporter
• Post Graduate / LLB: Junior Law Officer

Age Limit

• Minimum age: 18 years
• Maximum age: 27 to 32 years (varies by post)
• Age is calculated as on 28 March 2026
• Age relaxation is available for reserved category candidates as per Government of Delhi rules

Application Fee

• General / OBC / EWS candidates: Rs. 100
• Women, SC, ST, PwBD, and Ex-Servicemen candidates: No fee (exempt)

Selection Process

Selection is done through a Computer-Based Test (CBT). The exam pattern varies by post type.

• One-Tier posts: Single CBT exam – 200 questions, 200 marks, 2 hours
• Two-Tier posts: Tier-I (qualifying) + Tier-II (main exam with descriptive section)
• Some posts also have a skill test or typing test after the written exam
• Document verification is the final step

There is negative marking of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer. Minimum qualifying marks are: General/EWS – 40%, OBC (Delhi) – 35%, SC/ST/PH – 30%.

• Perform duties assigned by the concerned Delhi government department as per the post
• Carry out radiographic procedures and assist doctors in diagnosis (for Radiographer and Junior Radiographer posts)
• Conduct eye examinations and assist in optometry services (for Optometrist post)
• Test, maintain, and operate meters and relay equipment at electrical installations (for Meter and Relay Tester post)
• Prepare and maintain land records and assist in revenue-related work (for Patwari post)
• Report and write news stories for the department publication (for Reporter post)
• Handle administrative and managerial duties in the assigned domain such as tourism, accounts, legal, or public relations (for Assistant Manager posts)
• Support IT operations and manage computer-based systems (for Assistant Grade-I IT post)
• Follow all service rules and conduct guidelines of the Government of NCT of Delhi
• Maintain proper records and submit required reports to the department on time
