Preparation Tips for DSSSB Exam 2026

  • Download the official syllabus from the DSSSB website (dsssb.delhi.gov.in). The detailed syllabus for each post is available in the notification PDF.
  • For ASO candidates: Focus heavily on Tier II preparation since Tier I is only qualifying. Practice essay writing, letter writing, and precis writing for the descriptive section.
  • For JE/AE candidates: Section B (Civil Engineering) carries 200 out of 300 marks. Spend most of your preparation time on technical subjects like Structural Engineering, Building Materials, Surveying, and Estimation.
  • Time management is key: You get 3 hours for 200 questions in the main exam -- that is about 54 seconds per question. Practice solving questions quickly.
  • Watch out for negative marking: With 0.25 and 0.50 marks deducted for wrong answers, avoid random guessing. Only attempt questions you are confident about.
  • Take mock tests: Solve at least 5-10 full-length mock tests before the exam to improve your speed and accuracy. Previous year DSSSB papers are a great resource.
