Defence Electronics Research Laboratory (DLRL), a premier research establishment under the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), Ministry of Defence, is inviting applications for its paid internship programme at Chandrayangutta, Hyderabad. This internship is part of the Government of India's paid internship scheme for engineering students. Note: Vacancies are tentative. If a suitable candidate is not available in one discipline, the vacancy may be adjusted to another discipline.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You must be going into the final year of B.E./B.Tech in ECE, CSE, or Mechanical Engineering in academic year 2026-2027.
• No Backlogs: Students with active backlogs are not eligible.
• Referral Required: You must apply with a referral/sponsorship letter from your college Principal.
• NOC Required at Joining: You need a No Objection Certificate from your Principal confirming you will be present for a minimum of 15 working days per month during the internship.

Stipend

• Total stipend of Rs. 30,000 paid over 6 months in two installments:
• Rs. 15,000 after completion of 3 months
• Rs. 15,000 after completion of 6 months
• Stipend is subject to a minimum attendance of 15 working days per month.
• Note: Expenses for lodging, boarding, transport, and medical are the intern's own responsibility. No accommodation is provided.

Selection Process

Selection is based on academic merit — no written exam:

1. Merit-Based Shortlisting: Based on cumulative marks percentage or CGPA obtained up to 3rd year 1st Semester. If two candidates have the same percentage, the older candidate gets preference.
2. Interview/Interaction (if required): Shortlisted candidates may be called for an interaction at DLRL's discretion.
3. Communication: Only selected students will be notified by email. No communication will be sent to unselected candidates.

Completing the internship does not guarantee employment in DRDO.

5. Affix a recent passport size photograph on the application form.
