The Advanced Centre for Energetic Materials (ACEM), Ojhar Nasik — a state-of-the-art composite propellant processing facility of DRDO — has released advertisement no. ACEM/HRD/PDINTERN/2026/II for paid internships. ACEM delivers world-class rocket motors and supports India's strategic missile programs. Only pursuing students with at least 85% marks or 8.5 CGPA (continuously maintained in all previous semesters) from AICTE/UGC-approved universities can apply.

The number of positions is indicative and may increase or decrease at the discretion of the establishment.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You must be pursuing a full-time engineering degree — B.E./B.Tech in 7th or 8th semester, or M.Tech in 1st or 2nd year — in the relevant discipline from a recognised Indian University or Institute.
• Academic Track Record: You need 85% marks or 8.5 CGPA on a scale of 10, continuously maintained in all previous semesters. Marksheet copies must be enclosed.
• University Approval: Your institute must be approved by AICTE / UGC.
• Referral Letter: The Principal or Director of your institution must issue a request letter recommending you as a highly deserving meritorious student.

Age Limit

• You must be below 28 years of age.

Stipend

• Monthly stipend: Rs. 5,000 per month
• Stipend will be paid in two installments. The first installment is paid after 3 months of training.
• You must complete a minimum of 15 working days per month of physical attendance at ACEM to be eligible for the stipend.
• If you leave the internship before completing 3 months, no payment will be made and no Completion Certificate will be issued.
• No boarding or lodging expenses are admissible. Lunch, tea, and snacks are available at the ACEM canteen on subsidised rates.

Selection Process

Selection will be decided by a Selection Committee based on:

1. Merit: Academic track record with 85% marks or 8.5 CGPA continuously maintained in all previous semesters.
2. Interview / Interaction: Shortlisted candidates will be called for interview or interaction. No communication will be sent to rejected candidates.
3. Medical Fitness: Selected candidates must submit a medical fitness certificate from an authorised medical practitioner holding at least an MBBS degree at the time of joining.

Police verification from the local police station is also required at the time of joining.

2. Fill in the prescribed format with your name, date of birth, Aadhar number, college details, discipline, branch code, semester/year, CGPA, achievements, and addresses.
3. Affix a passport-size photo (4.5 x 3.5 cm) on the application.
4. Attach the Referral Letter from your Principal or Director on college letterhead, UG/PG Marksheets reflecting CGPA, and a copy of your latest Aadhar Card.
5. Write a brief bio-data of less than 300 words highlighting your achievements.
6. Send the application by Speed Post addressed to: The General Manager, Advanced Centre for Energetic Materials (ACEM), Ambe Hills, Ojhar, Nashik-422207 with Kind Attention to HRD Division.
7. Clearly mention "Application for Paid Internship" and the Branch Code Number on top of the envelope.
8. The application must reach ACEM by 15 June 2026.

• Work on assigned project tasks related to composite propellant processing, rocket motors, or strategic missile programs at ACEM
• Maintain a minimum of 15 working days per month of physical attendance at the ACEM Nasik facility
• Follow Indian Official Secrets Act, 1923 and Ministry of Defence IT rules and regulations strictly
• Submit periodic progress reports on the assigned project work to the supervising scientist
• Prepare and submit a complete project report at the end of the internship
• Clear the project work evaluation conducted by the establishment
• Maintain confidentiality of all defence-related information accessed during the internship
