Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC), under the Department of Environment, Govt. of NCT of Delhi, is looking to fill 53 vacant positions on deputation (including short-term contract) basis. This is a rolling advertisement dated 12 March 2026, and eligible government officers from Central, State, UT governments, autonomous bodies, research institutes, and PSUs can apply. No written exam is required — selection is based on eligibility screening and interview. The posts cover engineering, scientific, legal, and IT domains related to pollution control and environmental protection.

Who Can Apply?

You must be a serving officer in Central/State Government, Union Territory, Recognized Research Institute, Autonomous Body, Statutory Body, or PSU. Different posts have different qualification and experience needs:

For Senior Environmental Engineer (7 posts, Level-12)

• Holding analogous posts on regular basis, or
• 5 years regular service in Level-11 posts, and
• Master's degree in Engineering (Civil/Environment/Chemical/Electrical/Mechanical/ECE/Biomedical/Water Resources/Remote Sensing/GIS/Hydrology) with 10 years experience in pollution control

For Environmental Engineer (15 posts, Level-11)

• Holding analogous posts on regular basis, or
• 5 years regular service in Level-10 posts, and
• B.E./B.Tech in relevant field with 8 years experience in pollution control, or
• M.E./M.Tech in relevant field with 6 years experience in pollution control

For Assistant Environmental Engineer (11 posts, Level-10)

• Holding analogous posts on regular basis, and
• Degree in Engineering in relevant field with 2 years experience, or Master's degree in Engineering

For Scientist Posts (Scientist-D, Scientist-C, Scientist-B)

• Scientist-D (Level-12): Master's in Science with 13 years experience or Doctorate in Science with 10 years experience in pollution control
• Scientist-C (Level-11): Master's in Science with 8 years experience in pollution control
• Scientist-B (Level-10): Master's in Science with 3 years experience in pollution control

For Scientific Assistant (4 posts, Level-6)

• Bachelor's degree in Science with experience in laboratory works

For Senior Lab Assistant (5 posts, Level-4)

• 8 years regular service in Level-2 posts or equivalent

For Assistant Law Officer (1 post, Level-7)

• Bachelor's degree in Law with 4 years experience as Legal Practitioner or in handling legal work in Government/PSU/Autonomous bodies

For Legal Assistant (5 posts, Level-6)

• Degree in Law from a recognized university with 3 years regular service in Level-6

For Programmer (1 post, Level-10)

• MCA/M.Tech (Computer Science) with 4 years experience in electronic data processing, or
• B.E./B.Tech (Computer Science/Electronics) with 5 years experience, or
• Master's degree + Engineering degree with 6 years EDP experience, or
• 'A' Level Diploma (DOEACC) with 6 years EDP experience

Age Limit

• Maximum age for deputation: 56 years
• Age is calculated as on the closing date for receipt of applications
• Period of deputation (including in another ex-cadre post) should ordinarily not exceed 3 years

Salary

• Level-12: Rs 78,800 to Rs 2,09,200 per month (Senior Environmental Engineer, Scientist-D)
• Level-11: Rs 67,700 to Rs 2,08,700 per month (Environmental Engineer, Scientist-C)
• Level-10: Rs 56,100 to Rs 1,77,500 per month (Asst. Environmental Engineer, Scientist-B, Programmer)
• Level-7: Rs 44,900 to Rs 1,42,400 per month (Assistant Law Officer)
• Level-6: Rs 35,400 to Rs 1,12,400 per month (Scientific Assistant, Legal Assistant)
• Level-4: Rs 25,500 to Rs 81,100 per month (Senior Lab Assistant)
• Pay and allowances as per DoPT O.M. No. 6/8/2009-Estt.(Pay II) dated 17.06.2010

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

There is no written exam for these deputation posts. Selection will be based on:

1. Eligibility Screening: Your application will be checked against the eligibility criteria for the post you applied for.
2. Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for interview.
3. Document Verification: Original documents including APAR dossier, Integrity Certificate, and Vigilance Clearance will be verified.

3. Fill in the application form in English or Hindi.

5. Get the application forwarded through proper channel by your Cadre Controlling Authority.

• Monitor and enforce environmental pollution control norms across industrial and commercial establishments in Delhi
• Conduct inspections of factories, construction sites, and other pollution-generating sources
• Prepare technical reports on air quality, water quality, and noise pollution levels
• Assist in issuing Consent to Operate and Consent to Establish under the Water and Air Acts
• Handle complaints from citizens regarding pollution and environmental violations
• Work on policy recommendations and action plans for reducing pollution in the NCT of Delhi
• Manage laboratory testing and analysis of environmental samples
