The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Nagaon, under the District & Sessions Judges' Court, has released an advertisement for 1 Driver post on a purely contractual basis. The post is in the unreserved category and is open to Indian citizens with a valid LMV driving licence and Assam Employment Exchange registration. Who Can Apply?

• Citizenship: You must be an Indian citizen as defined in Article 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India.
• Qualification: You must have passed Class VIII (Eight).

• Employment Exchange: You must have a valid Employment Exchange Registration number for the State of Assam.

Salary

• Fixed monthly pay: Rs. 15,000 per month

• No TA/DA will be paid to candidates for attending the selection process.

Selection Process

Selection is done in two stages (no written exam):

1. Stage 1 - Driving Skill Test: A practical driving test of 50 marks. You must secure at least 60% marks in this test to qualify for the next stage.
2. Stage 2 - Interview / Viva-Voce: A personal interview of 50 marks. You will need to bring all original testimonials to the viva-voce.

Final Merit: The final result will be prepared by combining the marks of both the driving skill test and the viva-voce.

How to Apply

1. Prepare your application in the Standard Form.
2. Attach self-attested photocopies of your educational qualification certificates and mark sheets, valid driving licence, age proof certificate, employment exchange certificate and caste certificate (if reserved category).
3. Attach 3 (three) copies of recent passport size photographs and mention your contact mobile number in the application form.
4. Place all documents in a sealed envelope and write "APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF DRIVER (CONTRACTUAL)" on top of the envelope.
5. Address the envelope to: District & Sessions Judge-cum-Chairman, District Legal Services Authority, Nagaon, 4th Floor Judicial Court Building, Nagaon, PIN-782001.
6. Send the application by Courier, Registered Post or Speed Post, OR drop it in the "DROP BOX" kept on the 4th Floor of the Judicial Court Building, Nagaon.
7. Your application must reach by 5:00 PM on 2 June 2026. The Selection Board will not be responsible for any postal or courier delay.
8. The list of eligible and rejected candidates and the date, time and venue of the driving test and viva-voce will be published on https://nagaon.dcourts.gov.in/. No separate call letter will be issued.

• Report any vehicle breakdown, accident or repair need to the office without delay
• Help with loading and unloading of official documents and materials when required
