State Legal Services Authority, Amaravathi, has invited applications for 3 contract/outsourcing positions in the Permanent Lok Adalat for Public Utility Services. Retired judicial department employees get first preference for the Head Clerk and Steno-cum-Typist posts, but outsiders who meet the qualifications can also apply. The Attender post is reserved for OC-PH-VH (Woman) category and is filled on outsourcing basis through APCOS.

Who Can Apply?

For Head Clerk:

  • Qualification: You need to have passed any Bachelor's Degree from a recognised university.
  • Priority: Retired judicial department employees with required qualifications are given preference. Outsiders will be considered only if suitable retired employees are not available.

For Steno-cum-Typist:

  • Qualification: Any Bachelor's Degree from a recognised university.
  • Typewriting: Pass in Typewriting English Higher conducted by A.P. State Board of Technical Education and Training, Hyderabad (or equivalent).
  • Shorthand: Pass in Shorthand English Higher conducted by A.P. State Board of Technical Education and Training, Hyderabad. If Higher grade candidates are not available, Lower grade pass holders will be considered.
  • Computer Knowledge: You must have knowledge in computer operation.
  • Priority: Retired judicial department employees get preference, same as Head Clerk.

For Attender (Office Subordinate):

  • Qualification: You must have passed VII Standard (7th Class).
  • Language: Adequate knowledge of Telugu language is mandatory.
  • Preference: Candidates with professional skills such as Driving, Electrical, Carpentry, Plumbing, Cooking, Dhobi, Gardening, Car Mechanism, Water Pump Mechanism, etc. will be given preference.
  • Reservation: This post is reserved for OC-PH-VH (Woman) category.

For all posts: You must be an Indian national. You should not be involved in any criminal cases. You must be physically and mentally fit to hold the post.

Age Limit

  • Head Clerk & Steno-cum-Typist: You should be between 18 and 65 years old as on 30 September 2025.
  • Attender (Office Subordinate): You should be between 18 and 42 years old as on 30 September 2025.
  • Age Relaxation for Attender:
  • SC/ST/BC candidates: +5 years (upper age limit up to 47 years)
  • PwD & Ex-Serviceman: +10 years (upper age limit up to 52 years)

Salary

  • Head Clerk: Rs. 44,570/- per month (consolidated monthly remuneration as per G.O.Ms.No.138, Finance Dept, dated 21.09.2022)
  • Steno-cum-Typist: Rs. 25,220/- per month (consolidated monthly remuneration)
  • Attender (Office Subordinate): Rs. 15,000/- per month

The remuneration is subject to change as per Government Orders issued from time to time. The initial contract period is one year, renewable at the discretion of the Appointing Authority.

Responsibilities

  • Handle case files, maintain official records, and manage correspondence in the Permanent Lok Adalat
  • Prepare reports, letters, and legal documents as directed by the Presiding Officer
  • Assist in the day-to-day administrative functioning of the Permanent Lok Adalat
  • Manage typing and stenography work including preparing judgments and orders
  • Keep records of cases filed, disposed, and pending before the Lok Adalat
  • Maintain office cleanliness, deliver court documents, and perform support duties as assigned
  • Follow all rules and instructions issued by the A.P. State Legal Services Authority

Minimum Qualification

VII Standard (Attender), Bachelor's Degree with Typewriting & Shorthand (Steno), Bachelor's Degree (Head Clerk)

Preferred Qualification

Retired judicial department employees preferred for Head Clerk and Steno-cum-Typist. Professional skills like Driving, Electrical, Carpentry preferred for Attender.
