All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Mangalagiri is a healthcare Institute of National Importance under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India, set up under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojna (PMSSY). The institute is hiring Senior Residents and Senior Demonstrators for a maximum tenure of 3 years across departments like Anaesthesiology, General Medicine, Surgery, OBG, Pathology, Radiodiagnosis, and Trauma & Emergency.

Who Can Apply?

• For Medical Candidates: A postgraduate medical degree — MBBS + MD / MS / DNB / DM / MCh / MDS — in the subject concerned or an allied / equivalent subject from a recognised university or institute.
• For Non-Medical Candidates (Anatomy / Biochemistry): M.Sc or M.Biotech in the subject concerned with Ph.D in the subject or an allied subject.
• Registration: Valid registration with the Medical Council of India / State Medical Council / Dental Council (for medical candidates).
• FMGE certificate required for Foreign Medical Graduates.
• The PG degree must be completed and results declared on or before the closing date of application.

Age Limit

• Upper age limit: 45 years as on the closing date of application (30 May 2026).
• SC / ST candidates: Up to 5 years relaxation.
• OBC candidates: Up to 3 years relaxation.
• PwBD candidates: Up to 10 years (General), 13 years (OBC), 15 years (SC/ST).

Salary

• For Medical Candidates: 7th CPC Pay Level-11 with entry pay of Rs. 67,700 plus NPA and other allowances.
• For Non-Medical Candidates (M.Sc with Ph.D): Rs. 56,100 in 7th CPC Pay Level-10 plus other allowances.
• Maximum pay (Level-11): Rs. 2,08,700.
• Appointment is on a contractual basis for 12 months at a time, extendable up to 3 years.

• General / OBC / EWS: Rs. 1,500.
• SC / ST: Rs. 1,000.
• PwBD candidates: No fee.

Selection Process

1. Online application via Google Form — fill and upload scanned application + payment details.
2. Screening of applications by AIIMS Mangalagiri committee.
3. Screening Test (MCQ) — conducted only if the number of applicants is large in any subject.
4. Document Verification with all originals at the venue.
5. Interview at Ground Floor, Admin and Library Building, AIIMS Mangalagiri, Guntur, Andhra Pradesh — 522503.
6. Final selection based on interview performance. No walk-in interview.

Important Dates

• Provide patient care, OPD coverage, and inpatient management in your assigned department under faculty supervision.
• Assist consultants in diagnostic procedures, surgeries, and clinical decision-making as per AIIMS Residency Scheme.
• Work in shifts and stay on-call as per the schedule decided by the Medical Superintendent / Dean / Director.
• Maintain detailed clinical records, investigation reports, and discharge summaries for assigned patients.
• Teach and supervise junior residents, interns, and MBBS students within your specialty department.
• Participate in academic activities — case presentations, journal clubs, mortality meetings, and departmental research.
• Follow institute conduct rules, abide by the residency scheme, and refrain from any private practice during the tenure.
