Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Tirupati (IISER Tirupati) is hiring a Project Associate II or Senior Research Fellow for a Department of Biotechnology-funded plant science project. The research studies how MYB96 transcription factors can improve drought tolerance and oil content in Indian mustard and groundnut. This is a project-linked contract role rather than a regular institute appointment.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Contract term: The first offer is for six months. IISER Tirupati may renew it after reviewing your performance and the project's needs.
• Project linkage: The position ends with the project and does not create a right to a permanent post in IISER Tirupati or the funding agency.
• Funding rules: Your appointment will follow the terms set by the Department of Biotechnology for this project.
• Completed qualification: You must have the prescribed degree and experience by the closing date. Applicants waiting for final examination results cannot be considered.
• Shortlisting: Meeting the basic conditions does not guarantee an interview. The screening team may use stronger qualifications and relevant experience to keep the shortlist manageable.
