IISER Tirupati SRF/RA Cell Biology Recruitment 2026: Overview

Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Tirupati (IISER Tirupati) is recruiting a Senior Research Fellow or Research Associate-I for the project Role of Microcephaly proteins in cancer and infections. The project sits in the cell-biology research area under Dr. Pavithra L Chavali and looks at how proteins linked with microcephaly may also influence disease processes. The appointment level depends on the research profile you bring, with the notice accepting either an experienced master's route or a doctoral route.

This is a hands-on laboratory opportunity for someone who already understands molecular and cell biology research. Service Conditions and Caveats

• Contract term: the position is temporary for one year and may be extended for another six months after a performance review. The role remains linked to the project and does not create a claim to a regular institute post.
• Research standard: applicants should show evidence of high-quality work in molecular and cell biology. An international publication is part of the master's-plus-experience route described in the notice.
• Laboratory fit: experience with mammalian cell culture, cloning and microscopy is desirable because these methods connect directly with the project's cell-biology work.
• Shortlisting: meeting the minimum conditions does not guarantee an interview. The screening committee and project leader may limit the interview list by considering qualifications and experience beyond the minimum.
