AIIMS Bhubaneswar Project Posts Recruitment 2026: Overview

All India Institute of Medical Sciences Bhubaneswar is forming a multidisciplinary team in its Department of Community Medicine and Family Medicine for the project Health System Transformation in India. The study supports policy dialogue and technical work on health-workforce planning across priority states, including Odisha. It will bring together public-health expertise, research support and project administration rather than functioning as a routine hospital recruitment drive.

The project is funded by IIM Ahmedabad and led at AIIMS Bhubaneswar by Dr. Arvind Kumar Singh with Dr. Priyamadhaba Behera as co-principal investigator. The team will collect useful practices, analyse health-system evidence, consult specialists and create learning resources for state-level workforce planning. Experience with public health systems at central or state level is especially valuable for the Consultant and Senior Research Fellow roles.

Posts and Disciplines

• Consultant - Public Health: a senior role for MPH or Community Medicine professionals who can guide health-workforce analysis, consultations and policy-facing outputs.
• Senior Research Fellow: a research role for candidates trained in Public Health, Epidemiology, Health Management, Health Economics or Population Science.
• Project Technical Support-III: an administrative and accounts-support role for graduates with government-accounting experience or candidates who have passed the CA/CMA intermediate stage.

Post-wise Duties

Consultant - Public Health

You will provide senior technical input on health-workforce planning, help compare state and national practices, guide consultations and shape clear recommendations for policy dialogue. The role calls for judgement, concise writing and confidence working with multidisciplinary specialists.

Senior Research Fellow

You will support evidence collection, analysis and learning-resource development for the project. Your work may involve reviewing health-system material, organising findings, helping with expert discussions and drafting research outputs under the project investigators.

Project Technical Support-III

You will manage project administration and government-accounting support, maintain records and help the team coordinate programme documentation. Computer skills and experience with national or international programmes will make the day-to-day work easier.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Project engagement: all appointments are temporary, funded-project roles and do not place selected staff on the regular AIIMS Bhubaneswar payroll.
• Tenure: the initial contract may be extended only when funds remain available and your performance is satisfactory.
• Benefits: provident fund, leave travel concession and medical-claim benefits are not attached to these contracts.
• Ending the contract: either side may end the appointment with one month's notice; a departing staff member may need to surrender the applicable salary amount instead of notice.
• No permanent claim: the engagement ends with the project and creates no right to permanent AIIMS employment.
• Travel: no TA or DA will be paid for attending the walk-in interview.
• Updates: applicants should keep checking the AIIMS Bhubaneswar website because individual notices will not be sent.
• Integrity: false information or attempts to influence selection can lead to disqualification.
