AIIMS Psychiatry Project Associate Recruitment 2026: Overview

All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi is building a project team in its Department of Psychiatry for DIGILit, an Anusandhan National Research Foundation-backed study. The project is developing a performance-focused mobile app intervention designed to measure and improve digital health literacy among patients. This is a project engagement rather than a regular AIIMS appointment, and the work sits at the intersection of psychology, patient communication and digital-health research. The team will need to turn participant interaction and app use into dependable research information, so clear communication, consistent record-keeping and attention to study procedures will matter throughout the assignment. The setting also gives you exposure to how behavioural science and digital tools can be combined in patient-centred research. If you want applied research experience in a hospital setting, this project offers a clearly defined clinical-research context.

Posts and Disciplines

  • Project Associate-I: an entry-level psychology research role suited to candidates who can support participant-facing activities, study records and the day-to-day running of the mobile-app intervention.
  • Project Associate-II: a more experienced research role for psychology professionals who can take greater ownership of study coordination, quality checks and progress tracking.

Post-wise Duties

Project Associate-I

You will help the team organise participant interactions, maintain accurate study records and support the delivery of the digital-health-literacy intervention. Your work may also involve coordinating schedules, checking incoming information and helping the investigators keep project activities on track.

Project Associate-II

You will support the senior research team with study coordination and research-quality checks, drawing on your prior research experience. The role is likely to involve closer monitoring of project progress, resolving routine field issues and helping prepare clean information for analysis and reporting.

Service Conditions and Caveats

  • Initial tenure: the appointment begins with a six-month term and may continue, based on performance, for the wider project period. Continuation is not automatic.
  • Project status: both roles are tied to the DIGILit study under project reference ANRF-90 and do not create a claim to a regular AIIMS post.
  • Shortlisting: only applicants who meet the notice requirements will be contacted for the interview, so completing the online record accurately matters.
  • Document check: shortlisted applicants must carry their original supporting documents when they attend the interview.
  • Travel support: AIIMS will not pay TA or DA for attending the interview.
  • Application channel: the notice accepts applications through the stated online project portal; hand-delivered and hard-copy applications are not accepted.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate participant schedules and project activities for the DIGILit study
  • Collect and organise psychology and digital-health research information
  • Keep accurate participant, intervention and study-progress records
  • Support delivery of the mobile app-based health-literacy intervention
  • Check research data for completeness and routine quality issues
  • Prepare study updates and working material for the research team
  • Follow participant privacy, research ethics and AIIMS project procedures
