The Principal District and Sessions Judge, Mysuru has released Notification No. Adalitha/Se/Se/265/2026 dated 24.04.2026 for direct recruitment to 75 Peon (Sevaka) posts in the Mysuru District Judiciary. There is no written exam — selection is based on SSLC (10th class) marks followed by an interview of 10 marks. 10th pass candidates from any recognised board are eligible to apply.

Horizontal reservation is provided for PwBD candidates (locomotor disabled, hearing impaired and visually impaired) and Ex-Servicemen as per Karnataka Government rules.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You must have passed 10th class (SSLC) or equivalent examination from a recognised Board on or before the last date for receipt of applications.
• Domicile: Karnataka domicile required for reservation benefits.
• Selection Mode: Direct recruitment under the Karnataka Subordinate Courts (Clerks and Other Posts) (Recruitment) Rules, 2007.

Age Limit

• Minimum age: 18 years (as on the last date for receipt of applications)
• Maximum age: 40 years for General category
• Maximum age: 43 years for Category 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B
• Maximum age: 45 years for SC, ST and Category 1
• One-time age relaxation of 5 years for all categories as per Government Order DJA/400/2021 dated 24.02.2026, valid till 31.12.2027
• Additional relaxation: 10 years for PwBD, widows and destitute women candidates
• Ex-servicemen: 3 years plus length of military service

Salary

• Pay scale: Rs. 27,000 - 650 - 29,600 - 725 - 32,500 - 800 - 35,700 - 900 - 39,300 - 1,000 - 43,300 - 1,125 - 46,675 per month
• You will start at Rs. 27,000 per month and reach the maximum of Rs. 46,675 with regular increments
• Plus DA, HRA and other allowances as per Karnataka Government rules
• Selected candidates will be covered under the National Pension System (NPS)

Application Fee

• General category: Rs. 200
• Category 2A / 2B / 3A / 3B: Rs. 100
• SC / ST / Category 1 / PwBD: No fee
• Payment mode: Online only via State Bank of India (SBI) State Bank Collect — net banking, credit card, debit card or UPI
• Cash, challan, demand draft, postal money order are NOT accepted. Once paid, fee is non-refundable.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection is purely on merit and interview:

1. SSLC Merit: Candidates will be shortlisted based on the percentage of marks obtained in SSLC (10th class) examination.
2. Interview: Top 10 candidates per post per category will be called for interview. The interview carries 10 marks.
3. Final Selection: Final merit list is prepared based on interview marks.

Probation period: 2 years under the Karnataka Civil Services (Probation) Rules, 1977.
