CUSAT has released a notification for Assistant Professor positions on Tenure Basis against anticipated vacancies across its schools and colleges, including this opening in the Master of Computer Application (MCA) Division at CUCEK. Who Can Apply?

You need any ONE of the following qualification combinations for the MCA Division post:

• Option 1: B.E./B.Tech/B.S. and M.E./M.Tech/M.S. (or Integrated M.Tech) in a relevant branch, with First Class or equivalent in either degree.
• Option 2: B.E./B.Tech and MCA, with First Class or equivalent in either of the two degrees.
• Option 3: A 3-year graduation with Mathematics as a compulsory subject, and an MCA with First Class or equivalent, plus 2 years of relevant experience after completing your MCA.

Salary

• You will get a monthly remuneration of Rs. 47,000 if you hold a Ph.D., or Rs. 45,000 if you do not, effective from 1 July 2026.
• You become eligible for gratuity after 5 years of continuous service, as per the Payment of Gratuity Act, 1972 (the 5-year condition does not apply in case of death or disablement).
• This is a tenure basis contract appointment and not a regular pay-scale position. Your pay and benefits are fixed by the Government of Kerala in line with orders applicable to contract appointments.

Selection Process

Your application goes through the following steps:

1. Document Verification: Your application, certificates and supporting documents are checked against the eligibility criteria.
2. Interview: Shortlisted candidates are called for an interview by the Selection Committee.

The rank list published for this tenure appointment stays valid for 2 years from its date of publication, and reservation rules issued by the Government from time to time apply. Once your first tenure of 5 years is complete, CUSAT issues a fresh notification and selection process, and you can reapply along with other candidates.
