NHM Thiruvananthapuram Multi-Post Recruitment 2026: Overview

The National Health Mission (NHM) in Thiruvananthapuram district, run through the District Health and Family Welfare Society (Arogyakeralam), is hiring for 12 different posts on a contract basis. The list runs from clinical roles like Dentist and Physiotherapist to field nursing, lab and office jobs. The bulk of the openings are for Mid Level Service Providers and JPHN / RBSK Nurses, so nurses with a Kerala Nursing Council registration have the widest choice here.

Posts and Disciplines

• Dentist: a BDS role that also needs Kerala State Dental Council registration.
• Clinical Psychologist: for post-graduates in clinical psychology with RCI registration.
• Physiotherapist: a BPT post for candidates who already have post-qualification experience.
• Audiologist cum Speech Therapist (MIU) / Audiologist (NPPCD): for BASLP holders with valid RCI registration, under the hearing-care programmes.
• Epidemiologist (IDSP): a public-health post under the Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme, open to public health post-graduates or experienced medical graduates.
• Adolescent Health Counsellor: for counselling, MSW, psychology or psychiatric nursing post-graduates.
• Mid Level Service Provider: the largest group, for BSc Nursing or GNM nurses; a fixed travel allowance starts only after you finish the training.
• JPHN / RBSK Nurse: the second-largest group, for SSLC holders who completed the Junior Public Health Nurse course.
• Lab Technician: for BSc MLT or DME-approved DMLT holders registered with the Paramedical Council of Kerala.
• Office and data posts: DEO cum Accountant (commerce graduates with computer training), Data Entry Operator (graduates who can type in English and Malayalam on ISM/Thoolika) and Social Worker (MSW in medical and psychiatry).

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Contract with the Society: if selected, you sign a contract with the District Health and Family Welfare Society (Arogyakeralam) and follow NHM rules as they change.
• Posting: you must be willing to work in any institution in Thiruvananthapuram district that the Society picks.
• No permanency: the posts are temporary and last only while the Mission runs; you cannot claim a permanent job from NHM, DHS or the Government.
• Mid Level Service Provider court case: these appointments depend on the final decision in WP(C) No. 24617 of 2020.
• Experience proof: appointment letters, salary certificates or pay slips are not accepted in place of an experience certificate.
• Interview order: the vacancies are urgent, so the Society may call some posts for interview first based on need.
• Updates by email: all communication comes by email; also keep checking nhmtvm.com and arogyakeralam.gov.in.
• Interview costs: no TA/DA is paid for the interview, and canvassing in any form leads to disqualification.

Application Submission Notes

Each post has its own Google Form, linked from the Thiruvananthapuram page of arogyakeralam.gov.in and from nhmtvm.com. After you submit online, send the signed printout of the form and the original demand draft in favour of "DHFWS-OTHERS TRIVANDRUM", payable at Thiruvananthapuram, by hand or post to The District Programme Manager, Arogyakeralam (NHM), DPM Office, W&C Hospital Compound, Thycaud, Thiruvananthapuram - 14. Write "Application for the post of ..." with your post name on the envelope. The printout must reach the office by 30 October 2026, 5 pm.
