Central University of Kerala (CUK) has released a notification for 1 Project Nurse-III post under the ICMR-funded research project titled "Development of a Field Deployable Ultrasensitive CRISPR based SHERLOCK diagnostic for detecting Symptomatic & Asymptomatic Plasmodium Species & Genotyping Drug-Resistance in North East India". There is no written exam — selection is done through an online interview held on Google Meet by the Principal Investigator. The position is purely temporary and based on the project's needs.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You must have a B.Sc Nursing degree from a recognised university.
• Language: You must be proficient in the Mizo language (mandatory for project field work in Mizoram).
• Field Work: You should be willing to work on a malaria drug-resistance project in Mizoram.

Salary

• You will get a salary of Rs. 28,000 per month as consolidated pay.
• HRA will be admissible as per the ICMR project guidelines.
• This is a fixed-pay engagement under the ICMR project — there are no other government allowances.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

• Assist the Principal Investigator in field data collection for the CRISPR-based malaria diagnostic project
• Collect blood samples and other biological samples from study participants in Mizoram
• Communicate with patients and local communities in the Mizo language to explain the study
• Maintain accurate patient records, consent forms, and field study logs
• Help with laboratory sample handling and basic processing as per project protocol
• Follow ethical guidelines and infection-control practices during sample collection
• Coordinate with the project team and ICMR-funded researchers on day-to-day field activities
