Selection Process
CUH will shortlist candidates based on UGC screening guidelines through a duly constituted Selection Committee. Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview where the university may also assess your teaching ability through a seminar, lecture, or research discussion. Document verification and medical fitness are required before final appointment.
Department-Wise Breakdown
The Department of Teacher Education offers the widest range with Professor, Associate Professor, and Assistant Professor positions. Library and Information Science also has openings at both Associate Professor and Assistant Professor levels. Other departments like Chemistry, Law, Geography, and Psychology have one vacancy each -- so competition could be intense for those seats. If you meet the qualifications for multiple departments, you can apply to each separately with a fresh application and fee.
Responsibilities
- Deliver lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions in the assigned department
- Conduct and guide research, supervise Ph.D. scholars and postgraduate dissertations
- Publish research papers in peer-reviewed and UGC-listed journals
- Participate in curriculum development and academic planning
- Contribute to university administration, examination duties, and committee work
- Mentor students and support their academic and professional development

Eligibility Criteria
Minimum Qualification
Master's Degree with 55% marks + Ph.D./NET/SLET as per UGC Regulations 2018
Preferred Qualification
Ph.D. from a recognized university with publications in peer-reviewed journals, teaching and research experience as per UGC norms
Required Skills
Teaching aptitude, research publications, knowledge of UGC/AICTE/NCTE regulations as applicable

Experience requirements vary by post level as per UGC Regulations 2018. Professor requires 10 years of teaching/research experience; Associate Professor requires 8 years; Assistant Professor is entry-level with NET/SLET/Ph.D. qualification.

Salary & Compensation
Pay Scale
Assistant Professor: Level 10 (Rs 56,100-1,77,500); Associate Professor: Level 13A (Rs 1,31,100-2,16,600); Professor: Level 14 (Rs 1,44,200-2,18,200)
Allowances
UGC admissible allowances including DA, HRA, and other benefits as applicable. New Pension Scheme (NPS) applies.
