BRIC-THSTI SIB Biodesign Fellow Recruitment 2026: Overview

BRIC-Translational Health Science and Technology Institute (BRIC-THSTI) is choosing SIB (Biodesign) Fellows for its Inter-Institutional School of Diagnostic Innovation in Bio-design. The fellowship sits within the NCR Biotech Science Cluster at Faridabad and brings science, engineering, medicine, design and business graduates into one health-innovation programme. It is meant for people who want to turn a clinical problem into a practical diagnostic solution, not only study it in a laboratory.

The programme follows the full journey of a diagnostic product. You will learn through clinical immersion, product innovation and entrepreneurship, then connect the problem seen in a care setting with design, testing and a route to use. BRIC-THSTI describes the fellowship as preparation for innovators who can work across professional boundaries and help move useful ideas from a concept to a product that improves human health.

The project is led by Prof. G. Karthikeyan and is designed to build the next generation of diagnostic innovators and entrepreneurs. Your academic background may come from several routes, but the common thread is a genuine interest in technology-led problem solving. Experience with innovation, design, social entrepreneurship or science-based social empowerment strengthens the fit because the work needs creativity as well as technical judgement.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Nature of engagement: This is a short-term project position. It does not create a claim for regular employment at BRIC-THSTI.
• Extension: Continuation depends on your satisfactory performance and on the remaining tenure of the project.
• Work base: The fellowship is based at BRIC-THSTI in Faridabad, where the institute works as part of the interdisciplinary NCR Biotech Science Cluster.
• Eligibility cut-off: Your age, qualification and other eligibility conditions are assessed with reference to the online application closing day.
• Screening: If the response is large, BRIC-THSTI may use higher or more relevant qualifications and experience to limit the shortlist. Your Statement of Purpose is therefore an important part of the application.
