SKAU AYUSH Faculty Recruitment 2026: Overview

Shri Krishna AYUSH University, Kurukshetra (SKAU) is holding a walk-in drive for Associate Professor and Assistant Professor roles in its Ayurveda teaching departments. The temporary appointments cover clinical and pharmacological specialities and are intended as a stop-gap arrangement while regular staffing is completed. You should look closely at the subject named against each role, because the postgraduate specialisation and teaching background must match that department.

The posts combine classroom teaching, clinical guidance and academic work within an AYUSH university established by Haryana law. The advertisement follows qualifications recognized under the Indian Medicine Central Council Act or the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine Act. A degree in Ayurveda alone is not enough; your postgraduate subject, teaching record and Hindi or Sanskrit study must also fit the role you choose.

Posts and Disciplines

• Associate Professor, Shalakya Tantra: A senior teaching role in the Ayurveda speciality concerned with diseases and treatment of the eye, ear, nose, throat and related head-and-neck areas.
• Assistant Professor, Dravyaguna Vigyana: Teaching and academic work focused on Ayurvedic pharmacology, medicinal substances, identification and therapeutic use.
• Assistant Professor, Panchkarma: Instruction and clinical guidance in Panchkarma principles, procedures, patient assessment and safe therapy practice.
• Assistant Professor, Shalakya Tantra: Teaching and supervised clinical work in the Shalakya discipline at assistant-professor level.
• Assistant Professor, Shalya Tantra: Academic and clinical teaching connected with Ayurvedic surgical principles and procedures.

Post-wise Duties

Associate Professor

You will take senior responsibility for Shalakya Tantra teaching and clinical training, guide junior faculty and students, support departmental academic planning and contribute to peer-reviewed research. Your prior experience should allow you to supervise both theory teaching and speciality-based practical learning.

Assistant Professors

You will teach the subject attached to your post, prepare lessons and practical sessions, guide students in clinics or laboratories and help maintain academic records. You may also support departmental research, seminars and assessment work in Dravyaguna Vigyana, Panchkarma, Shalakya Tantra or Shalya Tantra.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Short-term engagement: The appointment is for six months, until a regular appointment is made or until further orders, whichever happens first. It creates no right to continuation or regularisation.
• Reservation: Reservation benefits apply only to Haryana residents. If the specified reserved-category applicant is unavailable, the University may consider another category or an available suitable applicant under the stated Haryana rules.
• Fallback eligibility: If applicants meeting the University's full Assistant Professor standard are unavailable, SKAU may consider candidates meeting NCISM norms at the lower fixed pay stated in the advertisement.
• Travel and joining: No TA, DA or other allowance is payable for attending the interview or joining duty.
• Changes: The University may increase, reduce, leave unfilled or withdraw a post. Future updates will appear only on the SKAU website, so you should check it before travelling.

Application Submission Notes

Report to the Conference Hall, Administrative Block, Shri Krishna AYUSH University, Sector 8, Kurukshetra one hour before the scheduled interview. The University will not accept an application after 11:00 AM on the walk-in day.

Bring the filled prescribed application form with your original certificates and the required self-attested copies. Because this is a walk-in process, there is no online application form or separate application portal.
