About This Job

Apply for 30 MSc Interdisciplinary seats at NIA Jaipur. AYUSH, medical and relevant science graduates eligible. Last date: 23 Sep 2026.

NIA MSc Interdisciplinary Admission 2026: Overview

National Institute of Ayurveda (NIA), Jaipur, a deemed-to-be university under the Ministry of AYUSH, is admitting students to its two-year MSc Interdisciplinary programmes for the 2026-27 academic session. The courses connect Ayurveda with nutrition, manuscripts, yoga, preventive cardiology, sports medicine, aesthetics and plant science. Six specialised programmes are offered through one admission notice, giving graduates from medicine, AYUSH and selected science streams several routes into interdisciplinary study.

The notice treats each discipline as a separate programme. Your degree must come from an institution recognised by the relevant statutory council, and it must be completed by the application cut-off. Professional registration is important for the medical and AYUSH routes wherever the programme criteria ask for it.

Posts and Disciplines

  • Ayurveda Diet and Nutrition: combines Ayurveda-based diet study with nutrition, exercise and health backgrounds.
  • Ayurveda Manuscriptology: is open to specified medical and AYUSH graduates as well as candidates with an MA in Sanskrit.
  • Ayur-Yoga Preventive Cardiology: brings Ayurveda, yoga and preventive heart-health study together for registered medical graduates.
  • Marmalogy and Sports Medicine: links marma-based learning with sports medicine and physiotherapy backgrounds.
  • Saundarya Ayurveda: focuses on Ayurveda alongside skin care and aesthetic medicine.
  • Vrikshayurveda: connects Ayurveda with agriculture, horticulture and forestry study.

Service Conditions and Caveats

  • Separate programme choice: if you want to seek admission to more than one discipline, you must use a separate form and pay a separate processing fee for each one.
  • Floating reservation: the institute will operate the seat matrix under the Government of India reservation policy; unfilled reserved seats may move according to the rule stated in the prospectus.
  • Completed qualification: your qualifying degree must be complete by the closing date, so a result expected later does not meet the stated condition.
  • Portal updates: lists of accepted or rejected applicants, later notices and any changes will appear only on the official NIA portal. You should keep checking it after applying.
  • Fee status: once paid, the processing fee cannot be refunded, transferred or adjusted against another programme.

Application Submission Notes

The institute accepts the form through the official online portal only. Hard copies sent by post or delivered by hand are not accepted, and an incomplete form or a form without supporting records may be rejected.

If you choose more than one MSc discipline, prepare a separate online application for every programme. Keep your qualification and, where relevant, professional-council registration records ready so the details in your form match the documents used during scrutiny.

Responsibilities

  • Attend the coursework and academic activities scheduled for your chosen discipline
  • Complete interdisciplinary assignments linking Ayurveda with the selected specialisation
  • Follow the institute's academic and registration rules throughout the programme
  • Keep professional-council registration valid where your course requires it
  • Track official portal notices about scrutiny, screening and admission formalities
  • Complete admission and registration formalities within the notified period
