Chikkamagaluru District Court Process Server Recruitment 2026 - 2 Posts

The Principal District and Sessions Court, Chikkamagaluru has released notification number ADMN-04/2026 for 2 Process Server posts. A Process Server is the person who delivers court summons, notices and orders to people. One post is reserved for ex-servicemen (General) and one for the Category-2B (rural) quota. This is a permanent Karnataka government job with a 2-year probation period.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You must have passed SSLC (10th class) or an equivalent exam from a recognised board.
• Driving Licence: If you hold a valid vehicle driving licence, you are given preference.

Age Limit

• Minimum age: 18 years (as on 28 July 2026).
• Maximum age for General: 35 years.
• Category 2A / 2B / 3A / 3B: up to 38 years.
• SC / ST / Category-1: up to 40 years.
• An extra 5 years relaxation is given to all categories as a one-time measure under the government order dated 29 January 2026.
• Government employees, widows, ex-servicemen and persons with disabilities get further relaxation as per rules.

Salary

• Pay scale: Rs. 31,775 - Rs. 61,300 per month.
• You will also get DA, HRA and other allowances as per Karnataka government rules.

• Category 2A / 2B / 3A / 3B: Rs. 150
• SC / ST / Category-1 / PwD: No fee
• Pay online through SBI Collect using Net Banking, Credit Card, Debit Card or UPI.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

There is no written exam. Selection works like this:

1. Merit List: A list is prepared from the total percentage marks you scored in your qualifying exam (SSLC).
2. Interview: The top candidates (in a 1:25 ratio per post) are called for an interview worth 10 marks.
3. Document Verification: Your original certificates are checked.

During the 2-year probation, you must pass the Kannada language exam set for the post.
