The City Civil Court, Bengaluru has released a notification for 88 posts of Driver and Peon under the Karnataka Subordinate Courts (Ministerial and Other Posts) Recruitment Rules. This includes 7 Driver posts and 81 Peon posts. There is no written exam — selection is based on your qualifying marks and an interview. Candidates who can read and write Kannada and have a 10th pass certificate can apply.

- OBC (Category II-A, II-B, III-A, III-B): maximum 43 years.
- SC / ST / Category-I: maximum 45 years.
- Extra relaxation: Persons with benchmark disability and widows get up to 10 years; ex-servicemen get 3 years plus service period. An additional one-time 5-year relaxation applies as per the Karnataka Government order.
Salary
- Driver: Pay scale of Rs. 34,100 to Rs. 67,600 per month.
- Peon: Pay scale of Rs. 27,000 to Rs. 46,675 per month.
- You will also get DA, HRA and other allowances as per Karnataka Government rules.

- Category II-A, II-B, III-A, III-B: Rs. 150

The fee once paid is not refunded. Pay only in the name of "Registrar, City Civil Court, Bengaluru".
Selection Process (No Written Exam)
Selection is based on the following:
- Driver — Eligibility Test (50 marks): Candidates are shortlisted for interview at 25 times the number of vacancies based on the eligibility test marks.
- Peon — Qualifying Marks: Candidates are shortlisted for interview at 10 times the number of vacancies based on the percentage of marks in the qualifying exam.
- Interview (10 marks): The final selection is based on the marks secured in the interview.
- Document Verification: You must produce original certificates for education, age, category and identity.
If two candidates score equal marks, the older candidate is placed higher in the merit list.

Responsibilities
- Drive court vehicles safely and maintain them in good condition (Driver)
- Keep the vehicle log book and report any faults on time (Driver)
- Deliver files, letters and documents within the court office (Peon)
- Assist court staff and officers with day-to-day office work (Peon)
- Keep the office and record rooms clean and orderly
- Follow the instructions of the appointing authority and senior staff
- Handle general support duties as assigned in the court unit
Eligibility Criteria
Minimum Qualification
SSLC / 10th pass. Driver also needs a Heavy Vehicle Driving Licence; Peon must be able to read and write Kannada.
