District Judge, Koraput-Jeypore Court Staff Recruitment 2026 - 11 Posts
The Office of the District Judge, Koraput-Jeypore has released Advertisement No. 3 of 2026 to fill 11 court staff posts in the Judgeship of Koraput. These are regular (permanent) government jobs under the Odisha District Judiciary. The recruitment covers three cadres — Junior Clerk-cum-Copyist, Stenographer Grade-III, and Junior Typist. Who Can Apply?
Common Requirements (All Posts)
- You must be a citizen of India.
- You must have passed at least +3 (graduation) or an equivalent qualification from a recognised university.
- You must have a Diploma in Computer Application from a recognised institute.
- You must be able to speak, read and write Odia and have passed a test in Odia equal to the Middle English (M.E.) standard.
- You should be of good character and sound health, with not more than one spouse living (if married).
Junior Typist
- You must have a typing speed of at least 40 words per minute in English typewriting.
Stenographer Grade-III
- You must have shorthand at 80 words per minute and English typing at 40 words per minute.
Age Limit
- You should be above 18 years and below 42 years of age as on 20 July 2026 (the last date for receipt of applications).
- Age Relaxation: The upper age limit is relaxed for reserved category candidates as per the Act, Rules and Government orders in force.
Salary
- Junior Clerk-cum-Copyist: Rs. 19,900 to Rs. 63,200 per month (Pay Matrix Level-4)
- Junior Typist: Rs. 19,900 to Rs. 63,200 per month (Pay Matrix Level-4)
- Stenographer Grade-III: Rs. 25,500 to Rs. 81,100 per month (Pay Matrix Level-7)
- You will also get usual DA and other allowances as admissible to Odisha State Government employees.

Selection Process
Selection is done in the following stages:
- Written Test: An English paper (100 marks, 2 hours). For Junior Clerk-cum-Copyist, there is also Arithmetic (100 marks) and General Knowledge (100 marks).
- Practical Skill Test: Typewriting test for Junior Typist; Shorthand and typewriting test for Stenographer Grade-III.
- Computer Science Test (Practical): 100 marks, 1 hour, to test your computer skills like formatting, printing, file transfer, and browsing.
- Viva-Voce (Interview): 45 marks for Junior Clerk-cum-Copyist; 35 marks for Junior Typist and Stenographer Grade-III.
Only candidates who clear each stage are called for the next. You will be told the date of the written examination individually.

Responsibilities
- Handle file processing, court records, and copying of judicial documents
- Prepare and type letters, orders, and official court documents accurately
- Take dictation in shorthand and transcribe it neatly (for Stenographer)
- Type case papers and reports at the required speed (for Typist)
- Maintain registers and enter data into court computer systems
- Assist judicial officers and senior staff with daily administrative work
- Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence of the court office
- Keep records confidential and follow court rules and procedures

+3 (Graduation) or equivalent from a recognised university, plus Diploma in Computer Application
Preferred Qualification
Ability to speak, read and write Odia (test in Odia equal to M.E. standard is required)

The cut-off for the Computer Science Test is 50% for General and other categories, and 40% for SC/ST candidates.
