Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), a Navaratna company under the Ministry of Defence, has released an updated advertisement for 5 Havildar (Security) posts at its Pune Unit (NDA Road, Pashan, Pune-411021). This recruitment is exclusively for Ex-servicemen — the reservation is 100% for Ex-servicemen, split as UR-1, OBC(NCL)-1, SC-1, ST-1, and EWS-1. The application deadline has been extended from 31 July 2026 to 10 August 2026, giving you extra time to apply. Although the opening is for the Pune Unit, selected candidates may be required to serve at any other BEL unit, office, or project location if the company needs it. Candidates with an exemplary service record, sound medical fitness, and knowledge of Marathi should apply.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: SSLC (10th Pass) with 15 years of service in the Indian Armed Forces.
• Reservation: This post has 100% reservation for Ex-servicemen — UR-1, OBC(NCL)-1, SC-1, ST-1, EWS-1.
• Medical Category: You must have medical category 'AYE' and SHAPE-I, and an exemplary or very good service record. Fire training is desirable.
• Language: Knowledge of Marathi — the ability to speak, read, and write — is mandatory.
• Registration: Registration at the District Sainik Welfare Board in Maharashtra is mandatory.
• Communication: You must give a valid, active email ID in your application — all information about the Physical Endurance Test and Written Test will be sent to you by email.
• Identity Proof: Carry a valid photo identity proof when you appear for the Physical Endurance Test / Written Test.
• Citizenship: You must be a citizen of India.

Age Limit

• You should not be older than 43 years as on 01 July 2026 (applicable to General category).
• Age Relaxation: OBC (NCL) candidates get 3 years relaxation; SC/ST candidates get 5 years relaxation.

Salary

• Selected candidates will get a salary of Rs. 20,500 to Rs. 79,000 per month under Grade WG-III/CP-III (pay scale Rs. 20,500-3%-79,000).
• You will also get Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, and Perquisites at 30% of your annual basic pay, plus medical expense reimbursement, Group Insurance, PF, Pension, and Gratuity.
• The approximate CTC is Rs. 6.2 Lakhs per annum.
• Selected candidates may be required to stay in company-provided accommodation, based on availability.

Physical Standards

• You must have sound health — no relaxation in health standards is allowed.
• Your medical category must be 'AYE' and SHAPE-I.
• You need to clear a Physical Endurance Test at Pune before moving to the Written Test.
• Final appointment depends on you clearing a Pre-employment Medical Examination.

Selection Process

The selection will be done in 3 stages:

1. Physical Endurance Test (PET): Held at Pune. Only candidates who qualify move to the next stage.
2. Written Test: Conducted at Pune for candidates who clear the PET.
3. Document Verification: Bring your original Discharge Book, PPO (Pension Payment Order), and all original certificates. Candidates working in Government/PSU organizations must also submit a No Objection Certificate at this stage, or their candidature will be disqualified.

Final selection is subject to a Pre-employment Medical Examination. SC/ST outstation candidates called for the PET/Written Test are reimbursed sleeper-class travelling allowance to and fro, and need to submit bank account and PAN card details at the time of the test so the reimbursement can be processed through ECS.
