AIIMS Nagpur is hiring 1 Project Research Scientist-II (Medical) for its ICMR-AYUSH funded AI-ACIHR CATCH Trial in the Department of Anatomy. This is a temporary, project-based post that runs co-terminus with the project. Salary is Rs. 80,000 per month plus HRA. AIIMS Nagpur Project Research Scientist-II (Medical) Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Nagpur (AIIMS Nagpur) has released an advertisement (Adv No: AIIMS-NAG/ANAT/CATCH/26-27/11) to fill 1 Project Research Scientist-II (Medical) post for a clinical research project studying Ayurvedic treatment in Head-Neck Cancer patients, funded by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR). There is no separate written exam — you go straight to document verification and an interview on the same day if you meet the qualification. Doctors with an Ayurveda, MBBS, or dental background who want to work in oncology research can apply.

Who Can Apply?

Minimum Essential Qualification (any one of the following):

• MBBS / BAMS / BDS with 3 years' post-qualification experience
• OR MBBS / BAMS / BDS plus a Postgraduate Degree (MD/MVSc/MDS/MPH or equivalent, including integrated PG degrees)
• OR MBBS / BAMS / BDS with a PhD

Desirable (preferred, not compulsory):

• Experience working on a CTRI-registered Ayurveda clinical trial
• Knowledge of recent trends in cancer management and integrative oncology
• Research methodology skills — in-silico methods, molecular biology, bioinformatics, and scientific writing
• Ability to handle clinical data and Ayurveda instruments
• For BAMS candidates: ability to perform Ayurvedic therapies as per the research protocol, with a BAMS degree recognized under Schedule II of the CCIM Act, 1970 / NCISM 2020

Age Limit

• Upper age limit is 40 years as on 22 July 2026.

Salary

• Selected candidates will get Rs. 80,000 per month plus HRA, on a consolidated basis.
• This is a project post governed by ICMR terms and conditions — no other allowances are payable, and no TA/DA is paid for the screening test or interview.

Selection Process (Walk-in Interview)

The selection will be done in these stages, on the same day:

1. Document Verification: Report between 8:00 AM and 9:00 AM on 22 July 2026 with your original certificates and photocopies.
2. Skill Assessment (only if more than 20 candidates apply): A screening test covering General Science, General Analytical Ability, research methodology, and knowledge of the subject area.
3. Interview: Held between 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM the same day. Only candidates who clear document verification (and screening, if held) will be interviewed.

Candidates reporting after the stipulated time will not be allowed to register or interview.
