The All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Nagpur (AIIMS Nagpur) - an autonomous institute under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY), Department of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India - has invited applications for 1 Medical Officer post at its ART Centre (Advertisement No. AIIMS/NGP/Admin/Contract/2026/08/1008). The engagement is purely on a contract basis for 11 months. Preference will be given to candidates with work experience in the field of HIV.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: MBBS with valid registration from the respective State Medical Council / NMC.
• Preference: Candidates having work experience in the field of HIV will be preferred.

All prescribed qualifications are counted as on the last date of submission of the application.

Age Limit

• You should be between 24 and 63 years old as on the last date of application.
• Age refers to the completed age in years as on the last date of submission.

Salary

• The selected candidate will get a consolidated salary of Rs. 86,955 per month.
• The engagement is purely contractual and will not be linked to any regular appointment or allowances given to permanent faculty.

Selection Process

Selection is done in the following stages:

1. Shortlisting: Candidates are shortlisted on the basis of educational qualification and relevant experience. If a large number of applications are received, a screening test may be held.
2. Document Verification: Your qualification, experience, category and age are checked against the advertisement before the interview.
3. Interview: Held at AIIMS Nagpur. No TA/DA is paid for attending the interview.

3. Attach a copy of the payment receipt, the application form and self-attested copies of all certificates.

• Provide medical care and treatment to patients registered at the ART (Antiretroviral Therapy) Centre.
• Prescribe, monitor and adjust antiretroviral therapy for HIV patients as per national guidelines.
• Counsel patients and their families on treatment adherence and follow-up.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ART Centre registers.
• Coordinate with the national HIV/AIDS control programme and hospital departments.
• Follow institute rules, medical protocols and safety guidelines.
