AIIMS Nagpur Assistant Engineer (Electrical) Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Nagpur (AIIMS Nagpur), an autonomous institute under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY), Department of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, has released a notification for 1 Assistant Engineer (Electrical) post. The role is purely on a contract basis for 11 months or until a permanent AE (Electrical) is appointed through CRE, whichever is earlier. The post is reserved for UR (Unreserved) category. Experienced electrical engineers with substation, project execution, and maintenance background are encouraged to apply.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You must be a Graduate in Electrical Engineering from a recognised University/Institute.
• Experience: You need at least 5 years of experience in project execution, electrical maintenance, and 11KV HT/EHV substation operation.
• Desired knowledge: Familiarity with the National Electrical Code, safety standards, and maintenance of DG sets and UPS systems.
• NOC required: If you are working in any Central/State Government, Semi-Government or Autonomous body, you must submit a No Objection Certificate at the time of interview.

Age Limit

• Upper age limit: Not exceeding 35 years
• Age is calculated as on the last date of submission of application.
• Reservation and age relaxation as per Government of India rules.

Salary

• Consolidated monthly pay: Rs. 67,350 per month
• The salary is consolidated only — no other allowances (HRA, DA, TA, PF, gratuity, pension) are admissible.
• The engagement is purely contractual and cannot be regularised at any stage.

Selection Process

Selection is done in two stages:

1. Shortlisting: Based on experience and marks scored in the qualifying Electrical Engineering degree.
2. Interview: Only shortlisted candidates are called. The date, time and venue will be sent through email. The interview will be held at AIIMS Nagpur. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.

You must bring original certificates of educational qualifications, experience certificates from previous employers, two passport-size photos, the printed application form and the NOC (if applicable) at the time of interview.

• Handle electrical project execution and routine maintenance work at AIIMS Nagpur
• Operate and supervise the 11KV HT/EHV substation and ensure uninterrupted power supply
• Maintain DG sets, UPS systems and other backup power equipment in the hospital
• Follow National Electrical Code, safety standards and statutory compliance requirements
• Prepare estimates, inspection reports and maintenance schedules for electrical works
• Supervise contractors and technicians for electrical installations and repairs
• Coordinate with hospital departments for shutdowns, scheduled maintenance and emergency response
