All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Mangalagiri — an Institute of National Importance under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, established under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojna (PMSSY) — has released Advertisement No. AIIMS/MG/Admin/Recruitment/03/Non Faculty/2026/01 for 2 Nuclear Medicine Technologist posts (Group C, Pay Level 5) on direct recruitment basis. The PMSSY scheme aims to correct regional imbalances in the availability of reliable tertiary healthcare and to strengthen quality medical education across the country. Both posts are unreserved (UR), and 4% of total vacancies across the institute are horizontally reserved for PwBD candidates with benchmark disability as per the RPWD Act, 2016. Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: B.Sc in Life Science or another Science stream, plus a 1-year Diploma in Medical Radiation and Isotope Techniques (DMRIT) or an equivalent qualification approved by the AERB (Atomic Energy Regulatory Board).
• Desirable: A 1-year post-diploma (DMRIT) in a recognised Nuclear Medicine laboratory is preferred, though not mandatory.
• Any prescribed experience will only be counted after you obtain your essential qualification.
• The notified vacancies are provisional and may be varied by AIIMS Mangalagiri as per Government of India rules and requirements.
• If applying under the OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) or EWS category, your certificate must be issued on or after 01 April 2026 and remain valid up to the last date of application, in the prescribed Central Government format.
• PwBD candidates must have a benchmark disability of at least 40% and submit a Disability Certificate from a Competent Authority; your suitability for the post will be evaluated by a Medical Board constituted by AIIMS Mangalagiri.

Age Limit

• You should be between 18 and 30 years old as on the closing date of online application.
• Age Relaxation: SC/ST candidates get 5 years, OBC (NCL) candidates get 3 years, and PwBD candidates get 10 years relaxation.
• Ex-Servicemen get 5 years (Group A) or length of military service plus 3 years (Group B & C) relaxation. Note: Ex-servicemen who have already secured Central Government employment on a regular basis after availing reservation benefits are not eligible to claim reservation again under the EXS category, though they remain eligible for age relaxation.
• Central/State Government employees with 3+ years of regular service get 5 years relaxation (Group A & B posts) or can apply up to 40 years (Group C posts).
• Candidates domiciled in Jammu & Kashmir get 5 years, and widows/divorced/judicially separated women (unmarried again) can apply up to 35 years.
• All the above relaxations apply cumulatively if you belong to more than one eligible category, subject to producing valid documentary proof.

Salary

• Selected candidates will get a salary under Pay Level 5 of the 7th Central Pay Commission, ranging from Rs. 29,200 to Rs. 92,300 per month.
• You will also get DA, HRA, TA and other usual allowances admissible to Central Government employees of similar status stationed at AIIMS Mangalagiri.

Selection Process

The selection for Nuclear Medicine Technologist comprises:

2. Skill Test: Conducted for shortlisted candidates, if decided by the Institute. It is qualifying in nature.

In case of a tie in scores, merit is resolved in this order: higher marks in the subject specific to your post, fewer wrong answers (negative marks), older date of birth, and finally alphabetical order of names.
