Airports Authority of India (AAI) Medical Consultant (Non-Specialist Doctor) Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

The Airports Authority of India, Regional Headquarters, Eastern Region, has issued Advertisement No. 01/2026/ER/Medical Consultant to engage 1 Medical Consultant (Non-Specialist) at its Kolkata office. The engagement is on a temporary basis for one year, likely to be extended further. Retired doctors from Government institutions and candidates with Aviation/Government/PSU experience will be given preference. This is a good opportunity for experienced doctors looking for a flexible medical engagement with a central government organisation.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: MBBS or an equivalent degree from a University recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI)/Government of India.
• Experience: At least 5 years of post-MBBS working experience in a Government Hospital or a reputed Private Hospital.
• Preference: Candidates who have worked in Aviation or Government establishments, PSUs, and retired doctors from Government institutions will be preferred.
• Proximity: You should reside close to the airport, as you need to be available for emergency duty within 2 hours of being informed.
• You must be clear from any vigilance or disciplinary point of view if you have earlier worked in a Central/State Government, Defence, or Paramilitary organisation, and no criminal case should be pending against you.

Age Limit

• The maximum age limit for this post is 70 years.

Salary

• You will get an honorarium of Rs. 3,000 per working day (inclusive of conveyance) for 6 hours of duty.
• For every additional hour beyond 6 hours, you get Rs. 500 extra per hour.
• Duty is for 5 days a week (Monday to Friday), from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Selection Process

The selection will be done in the following stage:

1. Interview: A tentative interview date will be notified to shortlisted candidates through their registered email ID. You must produce original certificates, including your MCI Registration Certificate, for verification at the time of the interview.

If you provide any false or incorrect information in your application, your candidature will be cancelled at any stage of the process.

2. Fill in the application form completely and attach self-attested copies of your certificates for education, experience, and MCI Registration.
3. Attach two recent passport-size photographs and proof of your residential address.
4. Sign and attach Annexure-II (Remuneration, Terms and Conditions), Annexure-III (Charter of Duties), and Annexure-IV (Code of Conduct).

• Follow the prescribed Code of Conduct and Charter of Duties for Medical Consultants
