Regional Centre for Biotechnology (RCB) is engaging a Project Junior Research Fellow for a focused tuberculosis research project at its Faridabad campus. The project examines protein complexes and a transporter within the Mycobacterium tuberculosis ESX-1 system, with the wider aim of identifying useful targets for future drug development. This is a hands-on laboratory opportunity under Dr. Prem S. Kaushal, Associate Professor, suited to someone who wants to build a serious research profile in structural biology and protein science.

Your work will centre on the EccA1-EspC, EccC-EsxAB and EccD1 systems. The notification gives preference to practical exposure in gene cloning, protein purification and cryo-electron microscopy, so the role is best suited to a researcher who is comfortable moving between molecular work, instrument-based analysis and careful interpretation of results.
