Kerala PSC has issued a notification to fill Computer Assistant Grade-II posts across the Government Secretariat, Kerala PSC office, Advocate General's Office, Kerala State Audit Department and other departments. If you have passed SSLC (10th) with a Higher Grade Typewriting (English) and Computer Word Processing certificate, plus a Lower Grade Typewriting (Malayalam) certificate, you can apply online. The last date to apply is 2 September 2026. Salary starts from Rs. 27,900 per month and goes up to Rs. 63,700.

The Kerala Public Service Commission (Kerala PSC) has released Category No. 084/2026 to recruit Computer Assistant Grade-II for the Government Secretariat, Kerala PSC, Advocate General's Office (Ernakulam), Kerala State Audit Department, Enquiry Commissioner and Special Judges Office, Vigilance Tribunal Office, and Kerala Lok Ayukta. A single ranked list will be prepared from one common selection process, and candidates will be advised to different departments in order of vacancies reported and their rank. The ranked list stays valid for a minimum of one year and up to three years, so you get advised as more vacancies come in during that period.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: SSLC (10th) or its equivalent.
• Typing Certificate: Higher Grade Certificate in Typewriting English (KGTE) and Computer Word Processing, or its equivalent.
• Malayalam Typing: Lower Grade Certificate in Typewriting Malayalam (KGTE), or its equivalent.
• Candidates from linguistic minorities whose first language for SSLC is not Malayalam are exempted from the Malayalam typing requirement, but must acquire this qualification within 4 years of appointment.
• Ex-servicemen with 15 years of service as Clerk/Writer in the Defence Forces are treated as sufficiently qualified for this post, subject to acquiring the Malayalam typing qualification before completing probation.
• If you passed your KGTE Typewriting certificate before January 2002, you must also hold a separate Computer Word Processing certificate.

Age Limit

• You should be between 18 and 40 years old — born between 2 January 1986 and 1 January 2008 (both dates included).
• Age Relaxation: SC, ST and OBC candidates get the usual relaxation, but the upper age limit cannot exceed 50 years for anyone.

Salary

• Selected candidates will get a salary of Rs. 27,900 to Rs. 63,700 per month.
• You will also get DA, HRA and other allowances as per Kerala Government rules.

Selection Process

The selection will be done in the following stages:

1. Written/OMR/Online Test: Conducted for shortlisted candidates who confirm through their One Time Registration (OTR) profile.
2. Skill Test: Your typing skills may be checked as part of the selection process.
3. Certificate Verification: Original documents for qualification, age and community are checked before appointment.

4% of the total vacancies reported are reserved for Differently Abled candidates; however, DA candidates with blindness are not eligible for this post.

3. Log in to your profile and click Apply Now under Category No. 084/2026.
4. Check your profile details carefully and submit the application.
5. Keep a printout or soft copy of your submitted application for future reference.

If you are creating a new profile, upload a photograph taken within the last 6 months, with your name and the date printed legibly at the bottom. This photo stays valid for 10 years from the date of uploading. Candidates with an Aadhaar card must also add it as ID proof in their profile.
