Last date to apply is 12 March 2026. Age limit is 18 to 28 years. Selection through written exam, physical tests, and medical examination.

487 Constable vacancies have been announced by the Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board for the Armed/IRP and SDRF wings of J&K Police. If you hold a J&K domicile certificate and have cleared your 10th class (Matriculation), this is your chance to join the police force under the Home Department on a UT Cadre basis. The positions are split into 421 Constable (Armed/IRP) and 66 Constable (SDRF) posts.

The selection process is thorough and tests you at every level. Candidates who clear the written test are then shortlisted for the Physical Standard Test (PST) at six times the vacancy count per category, followed by the Physical Endurance Test (PET) and finally a Medical Examination.

  3. Practice arithmetic and reasoning daily, as these sections reward consistent preparation over last-minute cramming
  4. Start physical training early for the 1600m race (males) or 1000m race (females), as PST and PET are qualifying stages you cannot skip
