Who Can Apply?

Sub-Inspector (39 posts, Level-4, Rs. 25,500-81,100/month):

• Qualification: Graduation from any recognized university.

Depot Assistant (14 posts, SL-1, Rs. 14,800-47,100/month):

• Qualification: Matriculation or its equivalent from a recognized University or Board.

Junior Librarian (10 posts, Level-4, Rs. 25,500-81,100/month):

• Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Library Science from a recognised University.

Library Assistant (5 posts, Level-2, Rs. 19,900-63,200/month):

• Qualification: Graduate degree along with a degree/diploma in Library Science.

Junior Statistical Assistant (2 posts, Level-5, Rs. 29,200-92,300/month):

• Qualification: Bachelor's degree with Economics/Statistics/Mathematics/Commerce/Computer Applications/IT as an elective subject.

Motor Vehicle Traffic Assistant (1 post, Level-2, Rs. 19,900-63,200/month):

• Qualification: 10th pass with a 2-year ITI Motor Mechanic Vehicle course, plus a valid driving license for motorcycle with gear and light motor vehicles.

Draftsman Civil (1 post, Level-4, Rs. 25,500-81,100/month):

• Qualification: 2-year Draftsman Training Course Certificate/Diploma from a Government recognized Institute.

Domicile: You must be a Domicile of Jammu & Kashmir with a valid Domicile Certificate issued on or before the cut-off date. Only candidates certified as Kashmiri Migrants (SRO 412 of 2009) or Non-Migrant Kashmiri Pandits (SRO 425 of 2017) can apply for these posts.

Age Limit

• You should not be born before 1 January 1986 or after 1 January 2008 for Open Merit (max age 40 years as on 1 January 2026).
• Age Relaxation: SC, ST-1, ST-2, RBA, ALC/IB, EWS and OBC candidates can apply up to 43 years. PwBD candidates can apply up to 42 years.
• Ex-servicemen can deduct their period of service from their actual age; if the resultant age stays within 3 years of the maximum limit, they are considered eligible.

Salary

• Pay ranges from Rs. 14,800 to Rs. 92,300 per month depending on the post and pay level (SL-1 to Level-5 of the J&K Pay Matrix).
• You will also get DA, HRA, TA and other allowances as per Jammu & Kashmir Government rules.

Selection Process

Selection for every post is based purely on merit:

1. Written/OMR-Based Examination: Objective type, multiple-choice questions in English only. Negative marking of one-fourth mark for every wrong answer.
2. Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates must produce original certificates for education, domicile, category and age proof.
