Who Can Apply?

For Gardner

Local Preference

• 25% seats in each trade are reserved first for candidates with residency certificate of the concerned district where the grid substation is located.
• For this division, the notice mentions Ludhiana district for Jamalpur Substation and Barnala district for Barnala Substation.
• If district-reserved seats remain vacant, they may go to candidates from the concerned state and then to open merit.

Age Limit

• The age limit will be as per the Apprentices Act, 1961 and its latest amendments.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

BBMB clearly states that there will be no interview and no written exam for these apprentice posts.

1. NAPS Portal Application: You need to apply online through the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme portal.
2. Merit List: Candidates who meet the basic conditions will be selected from the apprenticeship portal database based on merit.
3. ITI Trade Merit: For ITI trades, merit will use 30% weightage from 10th class marks and 70% weightage from ITI marks.
4. Non-ITI Trade Merit: For Gardner, selection will follow the Apprentices Act, 1961.
5. Tie Break: If two candidates have the same marks, the older candidate gets preference. If date of birth is also the same, the candidate who passed matriculation earlier is considered first.
6. Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates will be called for checking certificates and Aadhaar details.
