Kodagu Court Typist Recruitment 2026: Overview

Principal District and Sessions Court, Kodagu is recruiting Typists for the Kodagu district judicial unit through direct appointment under the Karnataka subordinate-court staff rules. The recruitment combines current openings with a backlog position and uses a reservation roster that covers women, rural candidates, former service personnel and candidates with a notified disability. The appointment belongs to the district court establishment, so your work may be assigned at Madikeri or another court office administered by the Kodagu unit. This is a regular court-service recruitment, not a temporary typing assignment.

The court will assess both your academic record and your ability to type dictated material on a computer. Kannada and English court typing are central to the role, and the notice points candidates to the Kuvempu-Surabhi Kannada keyboard layout used for the computer test. Recruitment updates, eligible-candidate lists and later instructions will appear on the court website and may also reach the mobile number or email entered in your form. Keep both contact channels active until the process is complete.

Service Conditions and Caveats

  • District appointment: You join the Kodagu District Judiciary and can be placed in the principal court or an office within its subordinate establishment.
  • Disability roster: The notice includes current and backlog reservations identified for candidates with blindness or low vision. Substitution or carry-forward will follow the order stated for each reserved position.
  • Reservation proof: Caste, income, rural, former-service and disability claims need the prescribed Karnataka certificates. An invalid, expired or wrongly formatted certificate can cancel the reservation claim.
  • Probation: Selected staff serve two years on probation under the applicable Karnataka service rules.
  • Tests after appointment: You must clear the prescribed departmental and Kannada language examinations during probation and pass the notified computer-literacy test within the permitted period.
  • Pension: New appointees come under the National Pension System (NPS).
  • Travel costs: The court will not cover your expenses for attending the skill test, interview or document check.
  • Legal condition: The final appointment order remains subject to the outcomes of W.P.No.200448/2025, 17968/2025 and 3145/2023 cited in the notice.
  • Accuracy: False information, forged records or improper influence can lead to cancellation and further legal action.

Application Submission Notes

The court accepts the form only through the post-specific Karnataka Judiciary portal. Submit one carefully checked form because you cannot edit it afterward; if you send more than one, the court considers only the latest submission. Use a working mobile number and email address, and keep the downloaded application and payment record for the skill test or interview.

Your colour photograph must be a recent JPG image with a white background, while the signature must be made in black ballpoint pen on white paper and uploaded as a JPG. The notice specifies separate size and dimension limits for both images, so prepare them before opening the form. If your marks card shows grades or CGPA, obtain the competent authority's conversion into marks before entering the academic figures.

Responsibilities

  • Type court orders, notices, letters, and case-related documents accurately
  • Prepare Kannada and English text from dictated or written material
  • Check typed documents for spelling, formatting, and factual errors

  • Support filing, dispatch, and routine clerical work when assigned
