Suryapet Court Senior Assistant Recruitment 2026: Overview

Suryapet District Court (Telangana), through the Office of the Principal District and Sessions Judge, is filling a Senior Assistant position for the Special Fast Track Sessions Court handling rape and POCSO Act cases. This is a contract appointment under Rule 9 of the Telangana State and Subordinate Service Rules, 1996, created to support the fast-track court's administrative work. Retired Telangana Judicial Ministerial Service employees receive first consideration; an outside applicant is considered only if a suitable retired employee is not available. That priority order is central to this notice and applies even though graduates from outside the service may also apply.

The Senior Assistant will support a court dealing with sensitive and time-bound case work. The job calls for careful handling of files, registers, correspondence and routine office movement so that judicial officers and court staff can access accurate information without delay. Applicants should therefore read the two eligibility routes carefully and present records that clearly show which route they are using.

Service Conditions and Caveats

  • Contract term: the appointment is made for a two-year period or until an earlier date fixed by the appointing authority. The arrangement ends automatically unless the court makes a fresh proposal and signs a new contract.
  • Priority for former court staff: retired applicants must have served in the Telangana Judicial Ministerial Service and retired from the corresponding or a higher category.
  • Retired-applicant standard: the court will consider former employees who are active and in sound health, with a proven record of ability, performance and integrity. A past disciplinary punishment for misconduct makes a retired applicant ineligible.
  • Outside-applicant route: graduates from outside the judicial service enter consideration only when suitable retired ministerial staff are unavailable. Computer skills receive preference under this route.
  • Fitness and agreement: a selected retired employee must provide a physical-fitness certificate and sign the appointment agreement set by the Principal District and Sessions Judge.
  • Conduct rules: the applicable Telangana conduct and pension provisions continue to govern retired employees where relevant, while other service rules do not automatically apply to this contract.
  • Travel: the court will not pay TA or DA for travel connected with the appointment.
  • Canvassing: trying to influence the recruitment can lead to summary disqualification.

Application Submission Notes

Send the application in a sealed cover addressed to the Principal District and Sessions Judge, Suryapet. Write the name of the Senior Assistant post clearly on the cover and use post or courier; the office will not accept an application delivered directly or in person.

The application should contain enough information to establish your chosen eligibility route and should be supported by the records listed in the notice. Include the self-addressed RPAD cover with the required postage so the court can communicate by registered post.

Incomplete forms and applications reaching the office after the notified cutoff are rejected. Before dispatch, check that the cover is correctly addressed, the post name is visible and the supporting copies are readable; postal or courier transit time remains your responsibility.
