WBSETCL Apprentice Recruitment 2026 - 138 Posts

West Bengal State Electricity Transmission Company Limited (WBSETCL) is hiring 138 Graduate Apprentices and Technician Apprentices. This is a great chance for freshers with Electrical Engineering qualifications to get hands-on training at one of West Bengal's leading power transmission companies.

The training period is 12 months. You will work Monday to Friday, from 10:00 AM to 5:30 PM, at substations and offices across West Bengal. There is no application fee.

Who Can Apply - Qualification

• Graduate Apprentice: B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from an AICTE-recognised college
• Technician Apprentice (Diploma): 3-year Diploma in Electrical Engineering recognised by West Bengal State Council of Technical and Vocational Education
• Technician Apprentice (ITI): Madhyamik (Class 10) plus ITI in Wireman or Electrician trade (NCVT/WB DIT)

Important: You must have passed your qualifying exam in 2023, 2024, or 2025.

Age Limit

You must be at least 18 years old as on 01 January 2026. No upper age limit has been mentioned in the notification.

Stipend (Monthly Pay)

• Graduate Apprentice: Rs. 10,500 per month
• Technician Apprentice (Diploma): Rs. 9,500 per month
• Technician Apprentice (ITI): Rs. 9,300 per month

Selection Process

Selection is based purely on merit. There is no written exam and no interview. Candidates will be shortlisted based on marks in their qualifying exam. Shortlisted candidates must appear for document verification.

Note: Candidates from outside West Bengal will be treated as General category.
