Who Can Apply?
- Gender: Only female candidates are eligible to apply.
- Qualification: You must have passed Intermediate (Class 12) or equivalent from a recognised board. Candidates with higher qualifications (Graduation, Post Graduation) are also eligible, and higher education carries more merit weightage.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)
Selection is purely merit-based. There is no written examination for Anganwadi Worker posts.
- Merit List Preparation: A merit score is calculated based on your marks/percentage in Intermediate (12th), Graduation, and Post Graduation. Higher academic qualifications carry more weightage in the merit formula.
- Priority Category Check: Among candidates with equal merit, priority is given to widow/divorced women from BPL families of the same Gram Sabha/Ward.
- Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates are called for document verification at the concerned CDPO/DPO office.
- Final Selection: The final merit list is published on upanganwadibharti.in and displayed on the notice boards of the Collectorate, Vikas Bhawan, Tehsils, Vikas Khands, and CDPO offices.

Responsibilities
- Conduct door-to-door visits to identify pregnant women, lactating mothers, and children under six years in the assigned Anganwadi area
- Distribute supplementary nutrition to registered beneficiaries at the Anganwadi centre on a daily basis
- Provide health and nutrition counselling to mothers, adolescent girls, and caregivers in the community
- Assist ANMs and ASHA workers during immunisation drives and government health check-up camps
- Maintain attendance registers, growth monitoring charts, and all beneficiary records at the centre
- Run pre-school education activities for children aged 3 to 6 years every day at the Anganwadi centre
- Report programme data to the CDPO office and update beneficiary records in the Poshan Tracker app
