Bharatratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical College & Hospital (BAVMC), Pune, is a government medical college run by the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) Medical Education Trust. The Trust had invited applications for regular Associate Professor posts across multiple clinical and non-clinical departments. The DV will be conducted over two days at the college campus in Pune.

Who Needs to Attend?

• Only candidates who have been officially shortlisted by BAVMC/PMC for any of the above Associate Professor posts need to attend.
• Shortlisted status is shown as Conditionally Eligible in the published schedule — you must bring the specific documents mentioned in your shortlisting letter.
• Candidates marked as Ineligible (because educational criteria were not fulfilled) or Absent in the schedule do not need to attend.

Documents to Bring

Most shortlisted candidates are required to bring the following original documents along with self-attested photocopies. The exact set varies by candidate — check your entry in the published schedule:

• Original degrees — MBBS degree and marksheets, MD/MS or equivalent PG degree and marksheets
• Domicile certificate — Maharashtra domicile is required for some reserved-category posts

Salary

• Selected Associate Professors at BAVMC will be paid as per the 7th CPC / Maharashtra Government Pay Matrix applicable to Associate Professors in government medical colleges.
• In addition to basic pay, you will receive DA, HRA, and other allowances as per Maharashtra Government rules.
• The exact salary details will be communicated in the final appointment order after interview clearance.

Selection Process

There is no written exam for this Associate Professor recruitment. Selection happens in two sequential stages:

1. Document Verification (Current Stage): Shortlisted candidates appear with original documents at BAVMC, Pune on 28–29 April 2026. Candidates who clear DV are marked as "Eligible". Those with incomplete or insufficient documents are marked "Conditionally Eligible" or "Ineligible" by the Employee Selection Committee.
2. Interview: Only candidates who clear document verification will be called for the final interview. Interview dates and further instructions will be communicated separately to eligible candidates.

Note: Being shortlisted for document verification does not guarantee an interview call. The final merit and selection will be based on interview performance combined with academic record and experience as per NMC norms.

How to Attend Document Verification

1. Check your name in the published DV schedule on www.pmc.gov.in or www.bavmcpune.edu.in.
2. Note your scheduled date (28 April 2026 or 29 April 2026) and the specific documents listed against your name.
3. Collect all original documents plus a set of self-attested photocopies.
4. Reach the venue at least 30 minutes before your reporting time: Bharatratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical College & Hospital, Naidoo Campus, Sangamwadi, Shivajinagar, Pune Station Road, Pune – 411001.
5. Report to the Employee Selection Committee desk for your department and submit documents for verification.
6. Collect the DV acknowledgement and wait for further communication about interview date.
