Who Can Apply?

Deputation means you continue to be an employee of your parent department while working at WAPCOS for a fixed period — your parent department must formally release you for this assignment. You must be a serving official from a Central/State Government organization, PSE or Autonomous Body, holding an analogous post on a regular basis in your parent cadre. Fresh graduates and private-sector-only candidates cannot apply directly for these deputation posts. Your parent department also has to issue a No Objection Certificate before you can be considered.

Engineering Posts (Chief Engineer / Chief Geologist)

• Qualification: B.Tech/B.E. in Civil, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or a Master's in Geology/Applied Geology for the Chief Geologist post), from a recognized university.
• Experience: 13 to 14 years of total experience in hydropower, pumped storage or water resources projects, including a minimum stint at a specified senior pay level.

General Manager / Chief Manager (HR) Posts

• Qualification: MBA with specialization in Personnel Management from a recognized university.
• Experience: 13 to 15 years in Personnel Management, Recruitment, Industrial Relations or Policy Planning.

General Manager (Contracts)

• Qualification: B.Tech/B.E. in Civil, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering plus a Post-Graduation in Contract/Procurement/Construction Management or Law.
• Experience: Minimum 15 years, including experience in Contract Management, Tendering, EPC and Consultancy contracts.

Age Limit

• The maximum age limit for all 8 posts is 56 years as on 01 June 2026.

Salary

• Selected candidates will get a salary between Rs. 80,000 and Rs. 2,60,000 per month (Revised IDA scale), depending on the post and grade (E-5 to E-7).

Selection is done through screening and interview:
