TSLPRB (Telangana State Level Police Recruitment Board) is hiring 275 candidates for Sub Inspector, Reserve Sub Inspector, Station Fire Officer, and Deputy Jailor posts across the Telangana Police, Fire, Prisons and Special Protection Force departments. Telangana State Level Police Recruitment Board (TSLPRB) Sub Inspector & Allied Posts Recruitment 2026 - 275 Posts

TSLPRB has released a notification (Rc No. 225/Rect./Rect-1/2026 dated 29 July 2026) for 275 vacancies spread across eight posts in four departments - Telangana Police (Sub Inspector, Reserve Sub Inspector), Telangana Special Protection Force (Sub Inspector), Fire Services (Station Fire Officer), and Prisons & Correctional Services (Deputy Jailor). This is one of the largest SI-level recruitment drives in Telangana this year. Fresh graduates, in-service state government employees, Ex-servicemen and NCC Instructors can all apply, subject to the age relaxation rules for each category.

Vacancy Breakdown by Post

33⅓% of vacancies in each category are reserved for women for the SI (Civil), SI (TSPF) and Station Fire Officer posts, and 10% for the Reserve SI (AR) post.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You need a bachelor's degree from a recognized university (any stream) as on the notification date, 29 July 2026.
• Technical Qualification (Station Fire Officer only): You must hold a valid Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) driving licence.
• Gender: Both men and women can apply for SI (Civil), SI (TSPF) and Station Fire Officer. Only men can apply for RSI (SAR CPL), RSI (TGSP) and Deputy Jailor (Men); only women can apply for Deputy Jailor (Women).
• Medical Standards: You need 6/6 vision in both eyes (Snellen chart) with no colour blindness or squint.

Age Limit

• You should be between 21 and 25 years old as on 1 July 2026.
• Uniformed Services Relaxation: The upper age limit is raised by 5 years for Police, Fire, Prisons and Special Protection Force posts as per a Government Order.
• Age Relaxation: SC/ST/BC/EWS candidates get 5 years; Ex-servicemen get 3 years plus their length of service; NCC Instructors get 3 years plus service rendered; State government employees get relaxation up to 5 years based on regular service.

Salary

• SI (Civil), Reserve SI (AR/SAR CPL/TGSP) and SI (TSPF): Rs. 42,300 to Rs. 1,15,270 per month.
• Station Fire Officer and Deputy Jailor (Men/Women): Rs. 38,890 to Rs. 1,12,510 per month.
• You will also get DA, HRA and other allowances as per Telangana government rules.

Physical Standards

For Male Candidates:

• Height: 167.6 cm minimum (160 cm for eligible ST candidates from notified Agency areas)
• 1600m Run: within 7 minutes 15 seconds (9 min 30 sec for Ex-servicemen)
• Long Jump: 4 metres (qualifying)
• Shot-put (7.26 kg): 6 metres (qualifying)

For Female Candidates:

• Height: 152.5 cm minimum (150 cm for eligible ST candidates from notified Agency areas)
• 800m Run: within 5 minutes 20 seconds
• Long Jump: 2.5 metres (qualifying)
• Shot-put (4 kg): 4 metres (qualifying)

Selection Process

TSLPRB will select candidates in 3 stages:

1. Preliminary Written Test (PWT): One paper (3 hours) with 200 questions for 200 marks covering Arithmetic, Reasoning/Mental Ability and General Studies (objective, OMR-based). Negative marking of 20% of a question's marks per wrong answer. Qualifying marks: 30% (OC/EWS), 25% (BC), 20% (SC/ST/Ex-servicemen).
2. Physical Measurement Test (PMT) & Physical Efficiency Test (PET): 1600m/800m run, height measurement, long jump and shot-put.
3. Final Written Examination (FWE): 4 papers of 3 hours each - English, Telugu/Urdu, Arithmetic & Reasoning, and General Studies. Papers I and II are qualifying only; Papers III and IV decide your final merit, with 25% negative marking per wrong answer in Papers I and II.

Your final selection depends on your aggregate marks in Papers III and IV of the Final Written Examination (plus normalized PET marks for some posts). Exam questions are set in English-Telugu and English-Urdu.

• Investigate cases, record statements and assist in evidence collection
• Supervise constables and other subordinate staff during daily operations
• Respond to emergencies, fire incidents or prison security situations depending on your posting
• Maintain records, registers and reports as required by department rules
• Coordinate with senior officers during VIP security, disaster response or public order duties
• Ensure discipline and safety protocols are followed at your post
