The Kerala Public Service Commission (Kerala PSC) has issued a First NCA (Notified Community Allotment) Notification, Category No. 104/2026, for the post of Woman Police Constable (Trainee) in the Women Police Battalion of Kerala Police. These 2 vacancies are reserved for female candidates from the LC/AI (Latin Catholic / Anglo-Indian) community, against the ranked list published on 21 April 2025 (Ranked List No. 326/2025/ERXVI, Category No. 584/2023). Male candidates and differently-abled candidates are not eligible to apply for this post. Recruitment is done on a statewide basis into the Women Police Battalion, and officers are later transferred to district vacancies based on advice and rank seniority. This is a good opportunity for Plus Two pass women who are physically fit and want to build a career in the Kerala Police force.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: Pass in Higher Secondary (Plus Two) Examination or its equivalent.
• Gender: Only female candidates can apply. Male candidates and differently-abled candidates are not eligible for this post.
• Community: Only candidates from the LC/AI community in Kerala are eligible to apply for this NCA vacancy.
• Candidates with NCC 'A', 'B', or 'C' certificates get weightage marks of 2%, 3%, and 5% respectively. Meritorious sportspersons and Student Police Cadet (SPC) certificate holders also get extra weightage marks.

Age Limit

• You should be between 18 and 33 years old. Only candidates born between 2 January 1993 and 1 January 2008 (both dates included) can apply for this post.
• This age band already includes the standard relaxation under Para 2(i) of the General Conditions. For any additional relaxation you may be eligible for, check Part II, Para 2 of the General Conditions in the gazette notification.

Physical Standards

This post is open only to female candidates. You need to meet the following physical requirements:

• Height: Minimum 157 cm.
• Eyesight: Distant vision of 6/6 Snellen and near vision of 0.5 Snellen in both eyes, without glasses. Each eye must have full field of vision. Colour blindness, squint, or any morbid eye condition disqualifies you.
• General Fitness: You must be free from physical defects like knock-knee, flat foot, varicose veins, deformed limbs, irregular or protruding teeth, and defective speech or hearing.

Physical Efficiency Test (National Physical Efficiency, One Star Standard)

You must qualify in any 5 out of 8 events listed below:

• 100 Metres Run: 17 seconds
• High Jump: 1.06 metres
• Long Jump: 3.05 metres
• Putting the Shot (4 kg): 4.88 metres
• 200 Metres Run: 36 seconds
• Throwing the Throw Ball: 14 metres
• Shuttle Race (25x4 metres): 26 seconds
• Skipping (one minute): 80 times

Note: If you get injured while attempting the Physical Efficiency Test, you will not get another chance to participate.

Salary

• Selected candidates will get a salary of Rs. 31,100 to Rs. 66,800 per month as per the applicable Kerala Government pay scale.
• You will also get DA, HRA and other allowances as per Kerala Government rules.

Selection Process

The selection for this NCA vacancy follows these steps:

1. Application Screening: Kerala PSC checks your One Time Registration (OTR) profile and community declaration against the notification requirements.
2. Physical Measurement and Physical Efficiency Test: Your height and eyesight are checked first. You then need to qualify in 5 out of 8 events of the National Physical Efficiency Test.
3. Medical Examination: You must produce a medical certificate in the prescribed format, issued by a Government Medical Officer not below the rank of Assistant Surgeon/Junior Consultant, confirming your fitness and eyesight standards.
4. Document Verification: Your educational qualification, age, and community certificates are checked before appointment.
5. Advice and Appointment: Candidates are advised for appointment from the ranked list against the LC/AI community vacancy as it becomes available.

Note: If a Written/OMR/Online Test is conducted as part of this selection, you must confirm your intention to write the exam through your OTR profile within the stipulated time.
