Telangana State Level Police Recruitment Board (TSLPRB) is hiring 7,112 candidates for Police Constable, Fire Fighter, Warder and Special Protection Force Constable posts across Telangana. Telangana State Level Police Recruitment Board (TSLPRB) Police Constable and Warder Recruitment 2026 - 7112 Posts

TSLPRB has released Notification No. 189/Rect./Rect-2/2026 dated 29 July 2026 for 7,112 vacancies spread across the Telangana Police Department, Telangana Special Protection Force, Telangana Fire, Disaster Response, Emergency and Civil Defence Department, and the Prisons & Correctional Services Department. This is one of the largest constable-level recruitment drives in Telangana in recent years, covering seven distinct posts from Police Constable (Civil) to Warder (Female). Candidates who have completed Intermediate and meet the age and physical standards can apply.

• Police Constable (Civil): 3,697 posts
• Constable (Special Protection Force): 1,380 posts
• Police Constable (AR): 1,052 posts
• Fire Fighter: 751 posts
• Warder (Male): 196 posts
• Police Constable (SAR CPL) (Men): 24 posts
• Warder (Female): 12 posts

Total: 7,112 vacancies, made up of both Direct Recruitment (DR) and Limited Recruitment/Backlog (LR) quotas, distributed district-wise and commissionerate-wise across Telangana.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You must have passed Intermediate (12th) or an equivalent examination recognised by the Telangana State Government, as on 29 July 2026.
• Technical Qualification (Fire Fighter only): You must hold a valid Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) driving licence as on the date of notification.
• Gender Eligibility: Both men and women can apply for Post Codes 21, 22, 25 and 26. Only men can apply for Post Codes 23 and 27. Only women can apply for Post Code 28.
• Medical Standards: You need distant vision of 6/6 in both eyes. Colour blindness, squint or any morbid eye condition will disqualify you.

Age Limit

• You should be between 18 and 22 years old as on 1 July 2026 for all post codes under this notification.
• Age Relaxation: An additional 5 years has been added to the upper age limit for all uniformed service posts (Police, Fire, Prisons, SPF) as per GO Ms No. 87 dated 18-05-2026.
• Further Relaxation: SC/ST/BC/EWS candidates get 5 years, Ex-servicemen get 3 years plus length of service, and NCC Instructors (minimum 6 months service) get 3 years plus length of service.
• Widowed/Divorced/Judicially Separated Women: SC/ST candidates can apply up to 40 years, and other candidates up to 35 years (plus the uniformed services relaxation), for Post Codes 21, 22, 25, 26 and 28.

Salary

• Selected candidates will get a salary of Rs. 24,280 to Rs. 72,850 per month for all seven posts under this notification.
• You will also get DA, HRA and other allowances as per Telangana Government rules.

Physical Standards

For Male Candidates:

• Height: Not less than 167.6 cm (160 cm for ST/Agency Area candidates of specified districts)
• 1600 metres Run: Within 7 minutes 15 seconds (9 minutes 30 seconds for Ex-servicemen)
• Long Jump: 4 metres (3.5 metres for Ex-servicemen)
• Shot Put (7.26 kg): 6 metres

For Female Candidates:

• Height: Not less than 152.5 cm (150 cm for ST/Agency Area candidates of specified districts)
• 800 metres Run: Within 5 minutes 20 seconds
• Long Jump: 2.5 metres
• Shot Put (4 kg): 4 metres

Long Jump and Shot Put are qualifying events for all posts. The Run event is qualifying only for Post Codes 21, 26, 27 and 28, while it carries marks for Post Codes 22, 23 and 25.

Application Fee

• The exact fee amount depends on the post(s) you select and is shown in the Online Application on tgprb.in.
• SC and ST candidates who are local to Telangana pay a concessional fee; all other candidates pay the standard fee shown online.
• If you apply for more than one TSLPRB notification within 3 months of this notification, you get a rebate of Rs. 50 per additional post (SC/ST local candidates) or Rs. 100 per additional post (other candidates), since the Physical Test is conducted only once.
• Fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.

Selection Process

The selection will be done in 3 stages:

1. Preliminary Written Test (PWT): One paper of 200 objective questions for 200 marks in 3 hours. Questions are set in English-Telugu and English-Urdu. Qualifying marks are 30% for OC/EWS, 25% for BC and 20% for SC/ST/Ex-servicemen/Home Guards. A wrong answer costs you 20% negative marking of that question's marks.
2. Physical Measurement Test (PMT) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Includes height measurement, running, long jump and shot put — see Physical Standards above.
3. Final Written Examination (FWE): One paper of 3 hours for 200 marks (Constable Civil, Fire Fighter, Warder posts) or 100 marks (Constable AR, SAR CPL, SPF Constable posts). Qualifying marks are 40% for OC/EWS, 35% for BC and 30% for SC/ST/Ex-servicemen.
4. Certificate Verification: If you qualify in the Final Written Examination, you must produce original documents for verification.

Final selection is based on your relative merit in the Final Written Examination (combined with normalized PET scores for Constable AR, SAR CPL and SPF Constable posts). 95% of vacancies in most posts are reserved for local candidates of the respective District/Police Commissionerate under Telangana local cadre rules.

2. Choose the Notification and Post(s) you want to apply for.
3. Pay the application fee online using Credit Card, Debit Card or Net Banking.
4. Fill in Part I of the Online Application Form with a scanned photo and signature (combined JPG file, 30-100 kb).
5. Submit Part I and download a copy of your submitted form.
6. If you qualify in the Preliminary Written Test, log back in to submit Part II with your certificates and documents.
