  • MD/DNB in Radiology or Radio-diagnosis (or an equivalent PG degree recognized by the National Medical Commission) with minimum 8 years' experience after MD/DNB

Medical Officer 'E' (Medical Gastroenterology) - Level 12, Rs. 78,800/month:

  • DM/DNB in Medical Gastroenterology recognized by NMC; oncology experience is preferred

Medical Officer 'E' (Nuclear Medicine) - Level 12, Rs. 78,800/month:

  • MD/DNB in Nuclear Medicine (or equivalent) with minimum 3 years' post-MD/DNB experience

Medical Officer 'D' (General Medicine) - Level 11, Rs. 67,700/month:

  • MD/DNB in Internal Medicine or an equivalent PG degree recognized by NMC; no prior experience required

Medical Physicist 'D' - Level 11, Rs. 67,700/month:

  • M.Sc. (Physics) with a Diploma in Radiological Physics from BARC or an equivalent AERB-approved qualification, plus 5 years' experience in computerized treatment planning systems

Scientific Officer 'D' (Quality) - Level 11, Rs. 67,700/month:

  • M.Sc./PG degree with 5 years in the relevant field, or a Master's in Hospital/Healthcare Administration, OR MBBS/BDS/BAMS/BHMS/BUMS with 3 years' experience

Scientific Officer 'D' (Physiotherapy) - Level 11, Rs. 67,700/month:

  • Master of Physiotherapy (MPT) with minimum 50% marks and 5 years' experience; oncology patient experience preferred

Officer-in-Charge (Dispensary) - Level 10, Rs. 56,100/month:

  • B.Pharm with a PG Diploma in Material Management/Business Administration (5-10 years' experience), OR MBBS with the same PG Diploma (4 years' experience)

Scientific Assistant 'C' (Nuclear Medicine) - Level 7, Rs. 44,900/month:

  • B.Sc. (Physics/Chemistry/Biology/Nuclear Medicine) with PGDFIT/DMRIT and RSO Level-II certification, or B.Sc./M.Sc. in Nuclear Medicine Technology, with 1-3 years' experience depending on your qualification

Scientific Assistant 'B' (IT-Programmer) - Level 6, Rs. 35,400/month:

  • B.E./B.Sc. (IT/Computer Science) or BCA with 2 years' experience in .Net programming, SQL, Crystal Report and RDBMS

Scientific Assistant 'B' (Radiation Oncology) - Level 6, Rs. 35,400/month:

  • B.Sc. (Physics) with a PG Diploma in Radiotherapy Technology, or B.Sc. in Radiotherapy Technology, with 1-3 years' experience in modern radiotherapy technology
  • Citizenship: Indian citizens, OCI cardholders and foreign nationals who meet the qualifications can apply, subject to necessary clearance.

Age Limit

  • Medical Officer 'F' (Radiodiagnosis): Up to 50 years
  • Medical Officer 'E' (Gastroenterology / Nuclear Medicine): Up to 45 years
  • Medical Officer 'D', Medical Physicist 'D', Scientific Officer 'D' (Quality/Physiotherapy), Officer-in-Charge: Up to 40 years
  • Scientific Assistant 'C' (Nuclear Medicine): Up to 35 years
  • Scientific Assistant 'B' (IT-Programmer / Radiation Oncology): Up to 30 years
  • Age and experience are counted as on 1 August 2026.
  • Age Relaxation: SC/ST candidates get 5 years, OBC candidates get 3 years, and PwBD candidates get 10 years (plus 5 more for SC/ST and 3 more for OBC). Ex-servicemen get their length of service plus 3 years. TMC/project employees get up to 5 years relaxation.

Selection Process

Selection depends on the post you apply for:

  1. Posts 1 to 8 (Medical Officer, Medical Physicist, Scientific Officer 'D', Officer-in-Charge): Selected through Interview only — there is no written exam.
  2. Posts 9 to 11 (Scientific Assistant 'C'/'B'): Selected through a Written Exam (100 marks, MCQ) followed by an Interview.
  3. Document Verification: You must carry original documents plus one set of copies when called for the interview/exam.

Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist care, diagnosis or treatment planning in your assigned department at HBCH&RC Visakhapatnam
  • Support cancer patients and coordinate with doctors, nurses and technicians for smooth treatment
  • Maintain accurate patient, quality and inventory records as per hospital protocol
  • Operate and maintain equipment, software or dispensary systems relevant to your post
  • Follow AERB, NMC and hospital safety and radiation protection guidelines strictly
  • Participate in audits, training programs and quality improvement activities
  • Handle documentation, reporting and administrative tasks specific to your role

Eligibility Criteria

Minimum Qualification

Varies by post - from a Bachelor's degree (B.Sc./B.E./B.Pharm) for Scientific Assistant and Officer-in-Charge posts up to MD/DNB/DM postgraduate medical degrees for Medical Officer posts. See Who Can Apply section for post-wise details.

Preferred Qualification
