Who Can Apply?

Medical Officer E (Nuclear Medicine / Radio-Diagnosis)

• Qualification: M.D./D.N.B. in Nuclear Medicine or Radiology/Radio-diagnosis from a National Medical Commission recognised institute.
• Experience: 3 years post-M.D./D.N.B. experience in the relevant field at a teaching hospital.

Medical Physicist C

• Qualification: M.Sc. (Physics) + Diploma in Radiological Physics or equivalent AERB approved qualifications + RSO certification from AERB.
• Experience: 1 year clinical experience as Medical Physicist.

Scientific Officer SB (Transfusion Medicine)

• Qualification: M.Sc. in Biochemistry/Chemistry/Botany/Zoology/Microbiology with 50% marks + Degree/Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology or Blood Bank Technology.
• Experience: 1 year in a FDA licensed Blood Bank.

Scientific Assistant C (Nuclear Medicine)

• Qualification: B.Sc. in Physics/Chemistry/Biology/Nuclear Medicine with PGDFIT/DMRIT or B.Sc./M.Sc. Nuclear Medicine Technology + RSO Level-II certification.
• Experience: 1 to 3 years depending on degree.

Scientific Assistant B (Biomedical / Physiotherapy / Radiation Oncology)

• Biomedical Engineering: Diploma (Biomedical/Medical Electronics) + 3 years experience (1 year in hospital).
• Physiotherapy: B.Sc. Physiotherapy/BPT with 50% marks + 1 year experience.
• Radiation Oncology: B.Sc. Physics + PG Diploma in Radiotherapy or B.Sc. Radiotherapy Technology + 1-3 years experience.

Technician C (Networking / OT)

• Networking: Diploma in Electronics/Computer Engineering or Graduate in Computer Science + CCNA + 3 years experience in network operations.
• Operation Theater: 12th Std. (Science) + 6 months/1 year Diploma in ICU/OT/Dialysis/Electronics + 3 years experience.

Age Limit

• Medical Officer E: 45 years
• Medical Physicist C / Scientific Officer SB / Scientific Assistant C: 35 years
• Scientific Assistant B / Technician C: 30 years
• Age reckoning date: 11 June 2026
• Age Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, 10 years for PwD (with extra SC/ST/OBC relaxation), plus length of service + 3 years for Ex-servicemen.
• 5 years extra relaxation for TMC employees including project, temporary and contract staff.

Salary

• Medical Officer E: Rs. 78,800 per month (Level 12, Cell 1)
• Medical Physicist C: Rs. 56,100 per month (Level 10, Cell 1)
• Scientific Officer SB: Rs. 47,600 per month (Level 8, Cell 1)
• Scientific Assistant C: Rs. 44,900 per month (Level 7, Cell 1)
• Scientific Assistant B: Rs. 35,400 per month (Level 6, Cell 1)
• Technician C: Rs. 25,500 per month (Level 4, Cell 1)
• You will also get DA, HRA, TA and other allowances as per TMC rules, along with medical facility, residential accommodation (subject to availability) and pension under the New Pension Scheme.

• General / OBC / EWS: Rs. 300 (pay online via Debit/Credit Card)
• SC / ST / Female / PwD / Ex-servicemen (first time): No fee

Selection Process

The selection mode depends on the post:

1. Medical Officer E (Nuclear Medicine), Medical Officer E (Radio-Diagnosis), Medical Physicist C: Interview only.
2. Scientific Officer SB and Scientific Assistant B/C posts (Sr. No. 4-8): Written Examination (100 marks MCQ) + Interview. Questions will be from the relevant area of specialisation.
3. Technician C posts (Sr. No. 9-10): Written Examination (100 marks MCQ) + Skill Test (qualifying nature only).
4. Document Verification with all originals at the interview/test stage.

The competent authority may change the selection mode based on the number of candidates shortlisted.

• Provide patient care and clinical services in the relevant specialty at HBCH Sangrur
• Diagnose, treat and follow up cancer patients using nuclear medicine, radiation or related techniques
• Operate, calibrate and maintain medical equipment in radiotherapy, radio-diagnosis or biomedical units
• Conduct quality control checks and radiation safety procedures as per AERB norms
• Assist senior medical staff during procedures, diagnostics and surgeries
• Maintain patient records, lab reports and treatment logs accurately
• Participate in research, training and academic activities under HBNI
• Follow hospital protocols, infection control and biomedical waste guidelines
