The Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) Medical College & PGIMSR, Rajajinagar, Bangalore has invited applications for engagement of 10 Junior Residents (Non-Teaching) on contractual basis for one year. The notification reference is No: 532/A/12/31/JR/2015-16/Admn dated 20.05.2026. There is no online application — you must attend the walk-in interview directly. If the number of candidates is high, a screening test with MCQs (with negative marking) may be conducted to shortlist.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You must have an MBBS degree from a recognised university.
• Registration: You must be registered with the MCI / NMC. Before joining, registration with the Karnataka Medical Council (KMC) or MCI is mandatory.
• Internship: Your internship must be completed before the date of interview.
• Previous Junior Residency: Candidates who have already completed six months of Junior Residency in any government institution need not apply again.
• Government Employees: If you are in government service, you must submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from your employer at the time of interview.

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 30 years as on the date of interview (26 May 2026).
• Age Relaxation: Applicable as per Government of India rules for reserved categories.

Salary

• Consolidated salary: Rs. 1,22,859 per month
• Statutory deductions will apply as per rules.
• No claim for PF, Pension, Gratuity, Medical Allowance, Seniority, Promotion or Leave will be admissible.
• You will be eligible for 1 day leave per month.

Application Fee

• No application fee is mentioned in the notification.
• Security Deposit: Selected candidates must deposit Rs. 1,00,000 as refundable security (non-interest bearing) in favour of ESIC Fund A/C No. 1. This amount is forfeited if the candidate resigns or is terminated for misconduct within 6 months.

Selection Process

Selection will be done through the following stages:

1. Document Verification: On 26 May 2026 at New Academic Block, ESIC Medical College & PGIMSR, Rajajinagar, Bangalore - 560 010.
2. Screening Test (if needed): If candidate turnout is high, a screening test with multiple choice questions on the concerned discipline and ESIC-related topics will be held. Negative marking applies. Screening marks will not be linked to final selection.
3. Interview: The performance in the interview is the sole criteria for final selection.

No TA/DA will be admissible for interview or joining.
