Who Can Apply?

Medical Officer 'E' (Rs. 78,800/month):

• M.D. / D.N.B. in Nuclear Medicine or Radiology / Radio-diagnosis recognised by the National Medical Commission
• 3 years' post M.D./D.N.B. experience in a teaching hospital

Medical Physicist 'C' (Rs. 56,100/month):

• M.Sc. (Physics) + Diploma in Radiological Physics or equivalent AERB-approved qualification
• Certification of Radiological Safety Officer from AERB
• 1 year clinical experience as Medical Physicist

Scientific Officer 'SB' / Scientific Assistant 'C' (Rs. 44,900 – 47,600/month):

• M.Sc. or B.Sc. in relevant science subject with required diploma/PG and 1 – 3 years of experience

Scientific Assistant 'B' / Technician C (Rs. 25,500 – 35,400/month):

• Diploma in Biomedical / Electronics / Computer Engineering, B.Sc. (Physiotherapy / Physics), or 12th + Diploma in OT
• 1 – 3 years' relevant experience

Age Limit

• Medical Officer 'E': Up to 45 years
• Medical Physicist / Scientific Officer / Scientific Assistant C: Up to 35 years
• Scientific Assistant B / Technician C: Up to 30 years
• Age reckoned as on 11 June 2026
• Age Relaxation: SC/ST – 5 years, OBC – 3 years, PWD – 10 years (extra 5 for SC/ST, 3 for OBC). Ex-servicemen as per Govt. of India rules. TMC staff get up to 5 years.

Salary

• Medical Officer 'E': Rs. 78,800 per month (Level 12, Cell 1)
• Medical Physicist 'C': Rs. 56,100 per month (Level 10, Cell 1)
• Scientific Officer 'SB' (Transfusion Medicine): Rs. 47,600 per month (Level 8, Cell 1)
• Scientific Assistant 'C' (Nuclear Medicine): Rs. 44,900 per month (Level 7, Cell 1)
• Scientific Assistant 'B' posts: Rs. 35,400 per month (Level 6, Cell 1)
• Technician C posts: Rs. 25,500 per month (Level 4, Cell 1)
• You will also get DA, HRA, TA and other allowances as per TMC rules

Selection Process

Selection depends on the post:

1. Medical Officer & Medical Physicist posts (Sr. No. 1-3): Interview only
2. Scientific Officer & Scientific Assistant posts (Sr. No. 4-8): Written Examination (100 marks MCQ) + Interview
3. Technician C posts (Sr. No. 9-10): Written Examination (100 marks MCQ) + Skill Test (qualifying)

The written exam questions will be based on the specialisation / subject of the post. TMC may change the selection mode based on the number of candidates.

• Provide specialist medical care to cancer patients in the assigned department
• Operate and maintain medical equipment such as nuclear medicine systems, radiotherapy machines, and lab instruments
• Conduct diagnostic tests, treatment planning, and clinical procedures as per protocols
• Maintain accurate patient records, lab reports, and quality control documentation
• Assist senior doctors and scientists during procedures, research, and academic activities
• Follow AERB, FDA, and TMC safety guidelines for radiation and laboratory work
• Participate in training, audits, and continuous quality improvement programmes
• Take part in research and publish work in your area of specialisation
