TGPSC DIET Lecturer Recruitment 2026 — 86 Vacancies

The Telangana State Public Service Commission (TGPSC) is hiring 86 Senior Lecturers and Lecturers in DIET (District Institute of Education and Training) under the School Education Department. The Telangana State Public Service Commission (TGPSC) has released Notification No. 04/G/SE/2026 dated 18 June 2026 for 86 vacancies across 19 post codes in District Institutes of Education and Training. These are regular government teaching posts for training pre-service and in-service school teachers. Both Senior Lecturer and Lecturer posts are open to Post Graduates with an M.Ed. qualification.

95% of the posts are reserved for local (Telangana) candidates under the Multi-Zone rules. Applicants from other states are not eligible for reservation benefits.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: A Post Graduate Degree in the relevant subject with at least 55% marks from a UGC-recognised university, along with an M.Ed. degree (55%) from an NCTE-recognised institution.
• Relaxed marks: The minimum marks are 50% for SC, ST, BC and Differently-abled candidates.
• Subjects: Vacancies cover subjects such as Education, English, Telugu, Urdu, Maths, Science, Social Studies, Psychology, Philosophy, Art Education, Education Technology, Planning & Statistics and Physical Education.
• You must be an Indian citizen and hold the prescribed qualification as on 18 June 2026 (the notification date).

Age Limit

• You should be between 18 and 44 years old as on 1 July 2026. The upper age limit was raised from 34 to 44 years as per G.O.Ms.No.86 dated 18 May 2026.
• Age Relaxation: SC, ST, BC and EWS candidates get 5 years; Persons with Disabilities get 10 years; Ex-Servicemen get 3 years plus their length of service; Telangana State government employees get up to 5 years.

Salary

• Senior Lecturer, DIET: Pay scale of Rs. 58,850 to Rs. 1,37,050 per month.
• Lecturer, DIET: Pay scale of Rs. 54,220 to Rs. 1,33,630 per month.
• You will also get DA, HRA and other allowances as per Telangana government rules.

Application Fee

• Examination fee: Rs. 1,000 for OC and BC candidates, and Rs. 500 for SC, ST and PwD candidates.
• Application processing fee: Rs. 120 for all applicants (unemployed candidates are exempt).
• Payment is made online through the TGPSC portal.

Selection Process

Selection is based on a written examination:

1. Written Exam (Objective Type): Held either in OMR-based offline mode or as a Computer-Based Recruitment Test (CBRT).
2. Certificate / Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates verify their qualification, age, community and local status documents.

For a CBRT held in multiple sessions, scores are normalised. The exam is tentatively scheduled for November 2026.

2. Complete your One Time Registration (OTR) if you have not done it already.
3. Log in with your OTR number and fill the online application for this notification.
4. Upload your photo, signature and documents.
5. Pay the fee online and submit the form.
6. Take a printout for your records.
